It’s definitely not about LeBron and Luka working. It’s about the next 10 years for LA. They now have their star to build around going forward. They probably got worse in the short term, but don’t think they care about that because they weren’t winning a title with the current roster anyways.
And LeBron’s never been ball dominant and certainly isn’t at this point in his career.

They could be significantly better next year. But they need serious defensive help.

I think this will be great for the Lakers in the long run, you obviously have to do it if you're LA. I'm curious to see how the rotations will shake out. Reeves has easily been the 3rd best player for the Lakers and this takes the ball out of his hand more. Will Hayes and Vanderbilt get more time at the 5 or will the Lakers play small?

What? His handling of the ball and being ball dominant is one of his gifts.
Yeah, he doesn't need to score to be dominant, but he is great at creating with the ball.

He is great a finding the right time to cut into the lane but you don't just want him standing in the corner.

When people say ball dominant they usually mean high usage rate. He’s obviously a gifted scorer. I meant every play doesn’t have to run through him to make an impact.

Ball dominant players are Luka Doncic or a Caitlin Clark, where majority of plays run through them, otherwise they’re pretty neutralized.

People said Luka and Kyrie would never work but they got to the finals. I'll hold off judgement on how Luka and Lebron will work together, but what a dumb deal for Dallas.

I have to think you see more moves from lakers this next week. I think Reaves is dealt in a package to get a better frontcourt piece.

On Dallas side I'm with everyone else. Completely baffled. If you're going to trade someone like Luka you have to make it known. Reports I've read that wasn't case. I think literally every franchise except maybe Celtics would of thought about trade they could offer for Doncic. He's a top 5 player and face of a franchise for many years. Don't get it

Don't know if Lakers have cap space to fit him in but I could see Vucevic from the Bulls going to LA.

Luka reportedly has ballooned up to 275lbs since going on IR. Apparently management has been frustrated by his conditioning and his wishwashy commitment to rehab was the last straw.
