I don't know if he's a good enough rim protector. I think they want to get as close to AD's defensive talent as they can and I see Vucevic as more of a offensive minded center. Maybe though he'd give them a lot of shooting and spacing that you're not getting with guys I'm thinking ofDon't know if Lakers have cap space to fit him in but I could see Vucevic from the Bulls going to LA.
The NBA and conspiracies are so much fun
There a ton of talent, but the 3 point strategy and analytics have really effed things upSeems like the league has gotten super boring so this trade will get people talking for a while at least.

Blazers have been playing better so that’s dominated my attention tbh, like some of their pieces. Camara is an amazing defender. From what I've seen the talent is incredible; exaggerating but it seems like almost everyone can handle and hit from anywhere.
But then it just seems like everyone's playing the same game or something.
Was talking to a few friends a few weeks ago that it seems like all I hear about is Twitter beef and trade rumors.
Big money made him fat and lazy huh?Luka reportedly has ballooned up to 275lbs since going on IR. Apparently management has been frustrated by his conditioning and his wishwashy commitment to rehab was the last straw.
I wouldn't be shocked if its all financial reasons and the Mavs go all in on a full rebuild in 2-3 years.Luka has never been a guy who was particularly in shape or great condition. Despite that, he was playing pro-ball at the highest level in Europe at 16, MVP of EuroLeague at 18 and then in first 6 seasons in the NBA he was ROY, 5 time all-NBA first team, top 8 MVP voting 5 straight years and dragged Dallas to the finals. He's been in the spotlight for 10 years and he's still only 25, young enough to correct his diet/conditioning/etc.
It's just an insansely massive gamble that he's going to fall apart on health/conditioning. They dealt just about the biggest public slap in the face to Luka that you possibly can. They told him he's not commited enough to the game to be worth a super max contract and that they think Anthony Davis (who is rarely healthy!) is a better bet to stay healthy into his mid-30's that Luka in his mid-20's.
Nightmare scenario for them is that this finally lights the fire for him to absolutely maximize his talents and he's going to be an annual MVP contenders, wins multiple titles, etc. in LA for one of your biggest conference rivals.
Tank and move to Vegas!I wouldn't be shocked if its all financial reasons and the Mavs go all in on a full rebuild in 2-3 years.
I'm all for adding Sonics and Vegas and shifting TWolves to the East.Tank and move to Vegas!

If it's about win now and defense would you rather have package they got or jimmy butler and bam adebayo?I can understand the concept of the move. Not convinced you want to give him the supermax, concerns about long term durability/conditioning, whatever.
What I don’t get is not shipping him around and accepting AD and a draft pick. Young superstars in the NBA are rare. Someone would have given up waaaaaaay more.
