The fact the free throw numbers are virtually equal spells doom for LSU. With what they have inside they should be living at the line against this smaller lineup. But they also are just letting them play.

One team has Clark creating for everyone and the other has Van Lith winging balls to no one. If LSU had a PG that could create they would be unstoppable

Going to be putting a ton of money on Iowa in their remaining games in the hopes I can jinx them since I lose ever bet I make.

Yeah this whole season I didn't think Iowa was good enough to win it but getting the feeling they just might do it now. Course all it takes is one off night from Clark and that will be it but she can see the finish line now.

LSU’s defense was terrible. For most of the game Morrow and Williams were terrible. Seeing Reese get injured was the beginning of the end.

They can do it. But if they face someone who has an offense and can defend they will struggle. I’m not betting against them right now. But lord their fans will be insufferable until we beat them at CH next winter.

I don’t think they lose because this is just how sports seem to work. The mega star eventually gets the championship. It’s just in the cards so I expect her to pretty much shoot out of her mind the next two games.

They will always have the national title so unless we would win one it’s game, set and match unfortunately. Vomit.

If a team was smart, they would bring that middle defender up like they did with Reese one time in the fourth quarter so Clark has to get rid of it. And when you bring it up, the roll is there so you need another defender to slide in there in sync with the pressure trap. It will leave one of Iowa’s other guards open for three but you make them beat you not Clark.

Either that or you are just hoping Clark has an off night, but at this stage I wouldn’t bet on that.

Yeah, I don't think South Carolina has been playing that great lately but I do like the angle that they would be VERY motivated to play Iowa after what happened last season. Just like Iowa had tonight.

If Iowa plays UCONN in the semis I do think maybe Geno can come up with a better strategy against them as well. Just not quite sure if UCONN is good enough overall this year though to beat them.

Agreed. Reese was never the same after the injury. And she;s so important inside at both ends that losing a step and unable to jump the way she normally does doomed the tigers.

One other thing. Last year in the final, if my memory is correct, Clark got called for pushing off; that had a big impact on Clark's game. This year, in this game, I'm not sure I saw it called once. And she is still pushing off.

Finally, I'm more of a believer in Iowa's potential to go the distance after seeing how the supporting cast around Clark has played to night. Make no mistake, Clark get's open more often because the opposition can't ignore the other Hawkeyes on the floor. This team is no one trick pony!

That’s always the key to Iowa. If the supporting cast doesn’t perform…they are done
