Disagree that Carlos played well. That was a C+ level from him. Almost the same number of unforced errors as winners. And he was missing shots that he quite frankly hasn’t missed in months.

Djokovic played well, but in the end, it was a handful of well-timed first serves (particularly the first set) that gave Novak the win.
That first set hurt going 0-8 on break point chances. Alcaraz probably should have broken serve twice.

Yes. To be fair to Novak too though he was 0-6 on break points that first set and actually had break points in three of Carlos’ games whereas Carlos only had those break points in two of Novak’s games.

I thought Thompson had won too but Leigh Diffey is going to want to have that call back. Jumped the gun there.
Yeah, that clip will be played millions of times and it’ll be him saying Jamaica won with 100% certainty in his voice.
