***2024 US Open Golf Thread Pinehurst #2***

I'd love to see Scotty win another one, and I'd love to see Tiger around for the weekend. Besides that, I just root for chaos.

I see Rory and his wife worked things out it seems. That’s good for them hopefully.

Anyone else kind of just "meh" about Pinehurst? Don't know what it is but I'm just not a big fan of courses with no water hazards on them.

No one should ever shoot 65 at a US Open and 22 guys (as of right now) under par is way too many.

Even should always be the winning score at an Open.

Now get off my lawn.
I honestly just think there's too much talent to ever go back to E being a winning score

I like it, unique with the waste areas and natural grasses, the greens are fascinating, drop offs all over.

I agree. If you make it so hard to keep the score around even, I don't believe the best player will win...just the most fortunate/lucky.

These clubs are owned and played on by mortals (golf mortals, anyway). To get a meaningful score near par, the USGA needs to build a rota of courses built specifically for US Open play.
