Well the Vince Cornella one isn't that interesting. AE absolutely worked him twice at 141, that's not a close match. I'd bet pretty big on AE over Bailey. Valencia is interesting, obviously a super talent but didn't exactly dominate in his RS against guys AE has beaten.

It's a weird one for Anthony. IMO, he's the best version of himself at 141. However, 141 is also a deeper weight. At 141, I'd probably have to see him back healthy and doing it before I put him right there with Mendez/Hardy in the top tier but he can clearly go with Mendez at his best. At 149, I'd really need to see it first before I'd feel good about him against Henson/Van Ness. Also two guys in McNeil and Jamison (if not Swiderski) that beat him at 141 before.
A lot of wildcards at 141, Baileys ability to ride comes into play. Hardy is a funky wrestler that is hard to replicate. I’m not sure cornella has ever been healthy but he did have a good u23 trials winning the bracket. AE also had a close one with Ryan jack at nationals the year he placed. Either way, 141 is the right fit if that’s what he wants to do/he weighs. My only point was that I think 141 is really deep with some real challenges even outside the top 2 guys. I hope AE goes to Vegas and gets his feet wet right away

For me, all this talk comes down to two factors:
A) AE's health
B) Frost(s) weight cuts

If AE is at full strength, I think he's a high AA at either 41 or 49. If he's not healthy, I'm not certain he can beat Jacob for either spot.

I'm also not convinced that Evan can make 133 for another year, so that may force an AE/JF or AE/EF wrestle-off.

Pure 100% speculation on my part.

Thanks Corby!
The funny thing is, when you’re standing next to Jacob and Evan in person it’s still hard to tell them apart even this summer. Jacob is slightly taller, but they still look pretty close to the same size. Evan is huge and Jacob is filling out nicely

Ech lost weight with his health issues and isnt as big as he once was. Frost has gotten bigger he will have no issues at 149. Powe will RS
Not saying you’re wrong on Powe, but he has already used a redshirt.

Also, I can’t keep track of the rules anymore so maybe he can RS again somehow.

I posted this already, but I don’t think he meets the criteria for another redshirt year.

Powe is going 174 right? Obviously it would be nice if he had a redshirt available (based on the clarified summary above it doesn't seem likely) but also I wouldn't hold him back if he is beating Gaitan even if he did have one.

That sure sounds like a full strength lineup of

Poulin
Frost
Ech
Frost
Zerban
Euton - maybe Riggins
MJ maybe someone else can step up
Dean
Elam
Yonger

Good tidbit that Jacob Frost is taking it to everyone.

Older guys will be on a pitch count especially Elam as many has said before.

The good news from that interview is that it sounds like Elam has improved a ton over the summer health wise and is getting really close to full strength.

I wonder if Powe will make a move up to 174 for the starting spot or stay at 165, same goes for riggins.

Good listen and really good takeaways.

- Evan being more bought into 133
- Jacob being that guy in the room
- Ech walking around at 153
- Elam getting back to healthy

All kinds of good in there.

We will have a bunch of 5th year guys in the lineup, and that does make me a little nervous but he did say pitch counts for a lot of them so good to have depth.

Man I still remember beating the drum for Jacob and him having the potential to do big things when not many believed. And here we are
