This made me feel old, Carew is 78 and just became a US citizen. Used to see Carew sometimes at the Loon Cafe bar in downtown Mpls back in the day. Was sort of a hot spot bar back than.

Hall of Famer Rod Carew adds a new title: U.S. citizen

Julien needs to go back to St. Paul. That throw to second was pathetic.
When they get some guys back, he should.

With their current pitching I’m already looking to next year. Wallner and Larnach sould have the corners nailed down. Lee can play second and bring back Santana at first. My guess is that Vazquez will be back. Need another CF and, of course, the annual pitching hunt for LH starters and relievers begins. Just hope they’re not tired, worn out arms again.

Lee should be called up for the Atlanta series. No reason to be wasting his time in St. Paul.

Another gem tonight. Two observations.

One…Margot is the worst outfielder I have seen in years, and they are way too generous on what counts as an error these days.

Two…Tommy Watkins is the worst third base coach I have ever seen. The number of runners gunned at home on plays that aren’t even close has been embarrassing this year.

They better get some guys healthy soon or the playoffs might be in jeopardy.

Festa with another good outing, but the relief pitching just sucks. Other than Jax, they continue to piss games away. Thielbar appears to be done.

And the funny part is I thought the bullpen would be the strength of the team when the season started. A lot of guys bombed or were injured this year.

ownership deserves to miss the playoffs. This team isn't going anywhere and I am glad they won't be able to see a single postseason ticket to profit further from cutting payroll.

This was a fun year but when you don’t have Joe Ryan, Correa or Buxton, you’re not going to do very well. When you’re down arguably your 3 most important players (outside of Royce) this were bound to nose dive.

The series w/ Atlanta was an absolute bust. I realize mgmt didn't spend the $ & injuries have mounted, but the Twins are playing w/ no urgency. Julien's approach at the plate is pitiful and his D has been less than stellar. Worst bullpen in the entire league and they(minus Jax) are pouty when out there.

I a big Theilbar fan. His story is just awesome. But that dude has been leaking oil all year. He cannot be trusted if the game is remotely still in doubt.

I swear the Twins never lose because the opponent is better. The Twins lose when they can't execute the basics of baseball.

Rays putting up 8 runs in an inning because the Twins can't throw or catch a baseball.

The Twins gave up at least 7 runs in an inning 3 times in the last week or so. Lewis is resisting a move to 2nd for the betterment of the team and Buxton gets ejected in a rehab assignment. Looks like the Twins are getting it done down the stretch......

Kepler to the IL. Keirsey finally gets his shot.

Buxton also had a hip setback. I was really hoping he could get to the 100 game mark this year but he is at 90 now and time is running out.

I’m thinking Correa might not play either. Hopefully the young guys can get hot, but it’s not looking good for a playoff run.
