I knew Pagone was going to piss the lead away. Amazingly he did with just 3 batters and not getting a single out.

Funniest part of Pagan's outing today was giving up three straight hits to the 7-8-9 hitters in Toronto's lineup. After allowing Biggio's go-ahead homer, he then retired Springer, Bichette and Guerrero Jr. in order. Can only pitch in low-leverage situations. Sure hope the Twins finally cut bat after this latest implosion.

That was fun. Two dingers in the bottom of the ninth to take the opener from the Crew. Correa motioned- ‘my time‘ with his game winner. Hope we see more of that the rest of the way.

Correa with a big two run triple to take the series.
Even though it turned out, I don’t understand why Rocco flipped Duran and Jax. Just trying to re-build Jax’s confidence?

Well, Duran came in for the 8th because it was the top of the Brewers lineup. Often he would go 2 innings there and I'm not sure why he didn't. He only threw 12 pitches, his velocity was high. He was very well rested and Rocco doesn't hesitate to let him go 2 innings usually. Plus it was the Brewers 4-6 coming up.

As for Jax, he's been awfully good lately. Through May 19th he was pretty awful, but since then, he's pitched in 10 games with 9.2 IP, 0 ER, 3 hits, 0 walks and 11 K. If its not Duran, he's the hot hand right now.

With Yelich being on fire, that makes sense.
Would argue that Duran and Stewart remain their top two dominant relievers.

Good to know we ran our best relievers out there tonight. Not!!! The surprise was Pagone was the best of the 3 tonight.

Duran, Jax and Stewart can't pitch every night.

The need to find better relievers or the ones they have need to do better.

Bigger problem is hitting. 11 K's tonight is one of their better efforts.

I’m taking my 9 year old up to see the Twins play this Thursday against the Red Sox. I sure hope that game goes better than the last couple of days against the Red Sox, because they have been brutal.
