Good sir, there were people on this site worried Rocco would transfer because they “heard” his dad was the next coach at WVUThat’s not what I heard but it’s possible.

That one was always ridiculous to worry about.Good sir, there were people on this site worried Rocco would transfer because they “heard” his dad was the next coach at WVU
A lot guys probably heard from teams throughout the season. Our staff probably reached to guys on other teams during the season.I promise you that there are guys on the team that have been hearing from other teams all season. It’s honestly a huge win for We Will that he was able to be retained.
The person that I hear things from that usually is clued in is pretty pessimistic so that could certainly be the case!A lot guys probably heard from teams throughout the season. Our staff probably reached to guys on other teams during the season.
That does NOT mean “he’s basically gone” your words not mine.
If you have an $12 a month you could get the correct information on this very site.
I rank the worry for Becht and Orange at the same level. Neither was super concerning. IMO from the sources I know close to the program, the 2023 offseason was much more concerning. Big Citrus reportedly had a huge bag thrown at him from Georgia last yearThat one was always ridiculous to worry about.
Interesting. I looked up his Twitter and thought he'd still be coaching. So I suppose the agent money must be better than coaching money now.His agent is Shane Burnham? Wally Burnham's son and former ISU coach? Interesting...
Yup. Dom had opportunities, but preferred to stay at ISU. WeWill did what they could and his mother loves CMC and ISU. Onyedim got paid, to suggest Dom couldn’t (get even more) is dumb. He stayed for the right reasons, let’s give him the respect he deserves. Loyal Son.I promise you that there are guys on the team that have been hearing from other teams all season. Any word on who we got visiting this weekend?I can’t see much, so someone may have mentioned this already.
Big recruiting weekend with the Baylor game, and the last of the Portal period.
Or he didn’t have a high paying coaching job offer. Or he was ready to transition out of coaching.Interesting. I looked up his Twitter and thought he'd still be coaching. So I suppose the agent money must be better than coaching money now.
For sure...and likely this first go around for the NIL brokers like him and his skills/connections made this a good opportunityOr he didn’t have a high paying coaching job offer. Or he was ready to transition out of coaching.
I have zero doubt he'd be making more somewhere else. This staff has done an incredible job at making these young men want to stay in ames for the most part.Assuming this is a combo of getting a pay raise via the collective and realizing his value wasn’t as high as he thought it would be.
We’ve got two transfer DEs so far. Would like a LB too.Retaining Dom was huge for this offseason. I really think he can be All Big 12 at DT this upcoming season. Gives us a threat to rush inside / disrupt plays.
For the D, I'd still like to see a transfer DE or LB or DT for extra support.
I think they have 3 QBs transferring out. I don't get why any QB would even consider going to Iowa.SDSU QB visits sukeyeville, do they have a chance? ….seems like an overpriced/overfilled room some will no doubt leave.
They pay good money for bad QBs.I think they have 3 QBs transferring out. I don't get why any QB would even consider going to Iowa.
