Means really good or hyperbole. In the case of recruits- extreme hyperbole.
Nobody is 1000% IN on anything other than dying someday.
High school recruiting is pointless to follow these days. Most of the kids in each class are gone after one season if they dont play right away. At least at Iowa State.

It's nothing to get excited over but quit trying to act like this is the way it's always been. Decommitments happened in the past but were relatively rare. The signing day flips mostly come to mind. Now it's so common it's not even worth following recruiting at all.
Unless we are in on a Top 20 high school recruit I don’t even pay attention to it in terms of the high school side of recruiting anymore.
Are you talking nationally or Iowa State specific? Basketball only or are you including football?
Going off of 247, we have had 4 basketball players decommit since they tracked it in 2017. So 4 players in 8 years. Do you consider that so common it’s not even worth fallowing?
I would say it’s more nationally common than Iowa State specific. Which was my point. Nationally it’s looks like there is 50+ every single year. It happens quite often.
It looks like for football we average roughly 4-6 decommits a year which isnt’t surprising given the roster size. Nationally I would guess it’s 100+ each year.
Tl;dr it’s not crazy common specifically for us but it’s not that uncommon nationally and historically that some users (not you) need to bash the kid or the coaching staff.
When I saw this it made me realize I pay pretty much zero attention to recruiting anymore. I used to follow it all so closely, and now it's pretty much right before the season get acquainted with who's likely to play in both football and basketball.
