I would go with the guess it is a lineman of some type. DL could absorb an injury to anyone but Lima or Bailey, the OL, it is hard to say, as we have not heard anything encouraging about anyone beyond the starting.

You are greatly underestimating how good DM is.
The other RB's are exciting, but there is nobody else near DM's level.
Disagree on Kempt. I'd feel terrible for him because of how hard he worked to get here but I'm comfortable with Zeb and the others stepping up. Even at RB losing Montgomery would hurt but the depth at the position is good enough where they could manufacture a run game (assuming the o-line takes a step forward, which I'll admit is at best unknown for now). Lima is the guy who is indispensable because of all the opportunities he creates for his teammates.
I don't think anyone believes the other guys are on/near Dave's level. But we've never been so deep at RB since I've been following ISU. We'll be okay.

No, but there's quality depth behind him. Of course there'd be some dropoff but the staff could make it work. If Lima is injured, though? It's Jamahl Johnson and nobody else. Johnson is fine, but are there any other NTs on the roster who are ready to play this year?
