Which row?

I don’t remember. Maybe 3 or 4 or 5. It was a group of people who were maybe in their late 40s who probably thought I was an ******* too. But they were just so ******* negative and very entitled.

In the old days, the closer one sat to the center of the field, the more negative folks seemed. I think that has changed quite a bit in the past three years.

We are in that vicinity now and I can believe that. There is a good portion of too drunk to know what is going on and not know rules and what not. I thought someone was going to throw something at me when I tried to explain why the ref stands over the ball...

Every seat offers a different perspective with positives and negatives. Some are closer to the concessions and bathrooms. I'm just a couple of rows up from field level in the endzone. You don't see the plays develop like you do up high and you can't really see what's going on at the opposite end, but quite a bit of action happens right in front of us and we can get in an official's ear every once in a while if necessary. The crowd noise in the lower section is a lot better as well. With the large video boards you don't miss much.

My buddy and I have had Section M for a couple years. Row 8. For the money, it doesn't get better. Yes, its hard to see things on the NEO but its a fun group of people to sit with and every play is perfectly laid out viewing wise.

We thought we were too rowdy for you. Or maybe you got tired of the know it all coach the in back us.

Section V is the place ti be. Love the people and the view.

We were in section V, row 3, 19 & 20 until about 3 years ago - it was section N when we sat there. Loved our seats, loved our view, but the cold night games just wreaked havoc on my back. After two years with no tickets, we started back with mobile passes last year...I just missed the Jack too much! I agree, those upper deck, low row center three sections are amazing angles for the games!

Noooooo!!! I miss it! I could barely walk to the car after some of those night games, though. :(

Edit - although I don't miss the people that sat to the north of us cause they were man-spreaders...even the mother. I was always fighting off their knees!

Isn't "manspreading" a football term?
Something about the importance of moving the ball around?

Depending on who you're playing, bottom level first row can have good sight lines.

We are row 13 in the center section of the Sukup. I have always preferred end zone view. Even as a student in the 70's my friends and I would run to the first row of the end zone at Clyde Williams. Granted, it gets difficult to see exactly what is happening at the other end zone but after years of experience I am able to figure it out pretty well.

A lot of action happens near the south end zone with those Fall winds out of the North. Overtimes are always played out right there in front of us. The triple overtime to beat Iowa was one to remember, all right there in our laps practically. Anyway, I know most folks would disagree with the end zone and I admit upper deck on the 50 is a pretty good view, too. But you never get that close-up feel that we do having the south end zone just right there in front of us.
The interesting thing about the south endzone at Clyde Williams, is that you were literally on top of the action looking down, as the stadium was elevated to allow the running track to pass underneath.

50 yard line 9th row home side- See right over the bench and you can see what is going on on the bench if you want.

I got tickets to the game Saturday against TTU. Section V about half way up (east balcony, 30ish yard line) I am bringing binoculars. Are they allowed in the stadium?

That's right. That's why you could sit in the front row and it was a great view. In the Sukup End Zone, IMO anyway, the first rows are actually too low to have a good view. That's why I chose row 13 where I am still close to the field, but up high enough to be able to see the players of both the offense and the defense. Row 13 is also where the extra point kicks typically land also so we get a lot of chances to catch a ball!

Since the addition of two large video screens, there isn't a bad seat in the house at all. Sit on the 50 yard line and see the whole field, or sit near an end zone and either be close to the action when they are in front of you, or watch the boards when they are at the other end zone.
