I don't know if you could cram much more entertainment into a ballgame than the Twins and Yankees did last night. How many "There! That'll decide it!" moments were there?

Agree. Smeltzer looking good again tonight. He may be the best of the three rookie relievers the Twins have turned to.
The big lead has evaporated to almost nothing. That was a brutal homestand.....scored 27 runs in 3 games against the ******* Yankees, and still lost 2 of them.

Love this team and they have overachieved, but damn the Cyclone in me just is waiting the gut punch of barely holding on to a wildcard spot. Hope it's not another 2001 season where they were 20+ games over 500 around the AS break and ended up 85-77.
Nice to see Buxton in the line-up again. I see they are kick Noah Syndergaard's tires, but the Mets are asking for 2 of the Twins' 3 best prospects. Don't know if he's worth that much.
They’ll be fine. They play 32 of their remaining 60 games against the White Sox, Tigers and Royals and have the easiest schedule in baseball from here out. Cleveland has played 25 games since June 1 against those same teams, which has been a big factor in them cutting the lead down.
That being said, it’s basically front office malpractice if they don’t make any moves and think they can solve the pen by cutting guys and calling up mediocre minor league arms. Need one starter and a reliever at the very least, which would allow them to shift Perez to the pen as well.

Agree. I could see the Twins moving Lewis but not Kirilloff if they had a real shot at Syndergaard.
Fully expecting Falvey to only add a second tier arm rather than going for the big splash. Tiger's Greene is the guy I'm hoping they get.
I watched Poppen pretty closely last night. (His parents are from Manson.) He has a really live arm, and it looked like he had much better command of his stuff than he did a few weeks ago when he got called up. He definitely has the arsenal, if he can maintain the command. If he develops a decent change-up he could be very tough.
Your first paragraph x10. People who are "to" alarmed aren't looking at the schedule. Indians get the Red Sox, Yanks, Mets and Rays over the next six weeks plus four games with the Twins @ Target. Ten games left in the season with Twins and 7 are @ Target.
Odds for winning the division dropped from 99% to 89% this month but I think it should still be 95% or so. Indians are only 56% to make playoffs. No way the Twins don't rake over .600 with that schedule. Even with so so bullpen they will pound those tired teams with their run scoring.

Understandable that clubs ask for top minor league prospects, but the Mets asking for a platinum starter in Buxton was a little surprising.
Greene and Smith are still out there for the Twins and hopefully Detroit and SF are sensible in their asks.

So I'm hoping to catch an afternoon weekday game in Minneapolis next month. Anyone have suggestions on where to park or grab a bite to eat before/after the game? I'm assuming parking downtown in the afternoon on a weekday would be a poor choice. Any suggestions?
If you don't want to park downtown or drive in rush hour after the game you could park at Mall of America and take the train downtown. Or park near downtown and Uber in. Home Depot or ride share lots in St. Louis Park off 394 would be < $10 Uber.
