I have no official announcement nor do I know anything about Levi Peters but I will tell you I watched him on the sidelines quite a bit for 10 minutes and he seemed to be in a LOT of pain, then later he was standing up on crutches for the rest of the quarter. He was on the sidelines till the end, so I assume that is better than nothing. Good luck Levi.

Not converting HUGE 3rd and short yardage has hurt us 2 weeks in a row now. As I said, that is all on Mangino IMO. And IMO, it cost us the game today. The defense I thought played well enough to win.

I guess I'd like to see us roll Sam out on those and then he has the option to throw or run. But hindsight is always 20/20. All I know is, we MUST find a way to convert these. That is Mangino's job. Being predictable doesn't work for us. We can't beat someone when they know what is coming.

Ankle sprain at worst, IMO. He couldn't put any weight on his ankle walking off the field.

That run play was so conservative to try and eat a little time. Throw the ball and get a first time and K-State doesn't get the ball back. Coach needs to play to win and not to lose.

CPR has caught Danny Mac syndrome. Play not to lose instead of playing to win.

Running with the QB in the shotgun takes longer to develop and the linemen must hold their blocks longer. Our top two RBs are not pile movers, they are both quick and good with the passing game, but they do not move plies in short yardage situations. If we are going to run in third or fourth and one situations and they are going to run between the tackles, then we need to put the QB under center, add a FB and use a 225 pound running back. These are also excellent plays to pass out of, but that is the subject for another thread.

You are right, they need to play 2 guys that see the field 3 times a game and the QB needs to take a direct snap in those 3 plays and 3 plays only, nothing bad could come out of that.

Totally agree about the line but having a bigger back would help...

Think it was the 4th down play but it could've been a 3rd and short, Wimberly got hit from the side at the LOS and fell straight down on his knee...a bigger back running "downhill" would've absorbed that hit and fell forward for the 1st down.

A guy weighing 177 lbs. should not be your short yardage back.

like a guy named Jeff Woody, perhaps?
