Good thing it is not binary. Respect and embarrassment is determined by winning and losing.
Why do people always think when you're behind its always a good thing for the coach to yell more? Because thats the emotion you feel as a fan watching the game? I think thats why people think that, but hard to say for sure. I like the cool hand Luke he uses during the game towards the officials, when he gets upset it means something.
As far as how he handles his players, thats a different matter. Certain players personalities are more motivated by different approaches. As a coach and former player, I think he really understands that. Some players just don't respond to in your face tactics. I think Coach Fred gets that. He understands people.
