The field is also sacred. The only people that are allowed on the field are players and the corp of cadets (band).

One time a SMU cheerleader ran on the field after they won and a Corp member ran on the field and pulled his saber on her.

Crazy enough that actually happened. Their band is some kind of fake army straight out of 1938. Weird weird school and culture.

Todd Blythe running wild is the first thing that came to mind about that joke of a college. That ranked up there with Flat Earth people in cringe factor for a video.

I'm all for keeping traditions alive but there are some better left for dead on the side of the road.

Go to the 15 minute,....or watch it all if you can stomach it. The App State put-downs will live in infamy.

This is where the stupid is nurtured.

I know its been a few years, but is there a video online of this prior to a Cyclone game?

There was a Tweet a few years back that went viral within the A&M community. IIRC a girl tweeted about wanting to find a husband while at A&M so they could have little "giglets" together. It went viral within the greater college football community as well, but for entirely different reasons. These people are literally a cult.

I've been to one. Was at the Dixie Chicken and all the aTm students basically pulled us out of there and brought us with them. It was odd.

Having knowledge of what that cult does with mason jars and bonfires, there is literally nothing else they can do that can ever surprise me.

What would they have done if Appalachian state player planted a flag at the 50 yard line.

I spent a month there for grad school about 15 years ago. I went to one midnight yell and football game and that was one too many. It was easily the strangest sports experience and group of people I have ever been around. The little traditions, hand signals, and songs all over campus make you feel like you're in preschool again. And the whole Corp of Cadets thing....I thought it was some big ROTC program, but it's just a fake military-like cult where they live in barracks and people bow down to them. Just so f****** weird. I ended up leaving College Station after a month and vowed to never ever go back to that place again.

Wait, what? I always thought it was an ROTC plan as well. I was watching a replay of their game and noticed that the people dressed up in military gear were mixed in with the students. First time I noticed it as I always see military people together.

But anyway, so what's the full story with their Corp of Cadets thing? If it's not an ROTC program, then what is it?
