If we land FSU and Clemson and it comes down to your vote on divisions.

The following are fixed in the East:

WVU, ISU, FSU, and Clemson

The following are fixed in the West:

Texas, Tech, OU, OSU

No cross division rivals. 3 games on, 3 games off.

Do you want BU and TCU in your division or KU & KSU? Regardless of choice why did you decide the way you did?

I have my guesses as to what you'd decide but I am curious.

KU and K-State. The Jayhawks are a trainwreck and Old Man Snyder can't live forever. We'd still get to play in Texas most seasons. And the most obvious part, we have a huge amount of history with those schools.

ku and ksu are rivals. those games mean more to me then baylor and tcu.

This. I doubt recruiting would be affected either way and it's nice to play teams in our region.

Thought so. People on the WVU scout board (primarily KU and KSU fans) are pushing for the BU & TCU model.

MHver's sources there are claiming that only BU is fighting it.

KU and KSU since we've been playing them forever and are both within easy driving distance. They'll also have similar talent to ISU.

I picked TCU and Baylor. I think it's a bad idea to be in a division w/o Texas teams.

Right. Getting to have potential easy wins over KU and post-Snyder K-State is just a fringe benefit. I really just want us to retain some sort of close geographic rivals if we were to get stuck in a division with all the east coast schools. Obviously that's not a concern for the WVU guys, everybody is new to them.

I'm not saying recruiting would be "hurt" by it. Just saying the more time spent in Texas the better...

Has our Texas recruiting been significantly better the last couple years than it was in the old North division days?

SEZ WHO? How can you speculate on new members and then say something is fixed. The only thing we know is that not one single GD thing is "fixed".

Easy. I was simply framing the debate to match up with the rumors discussed elsewhere.

I don't think there should be any divisional setups where ISU, KU, and KSU aren't in the same division. We'd be very isolated otherwise and lose longstanding rivalries.

We can't know the affects of east/west divisions regardless of what our recruiting is now. I just have the sense that having Texas teams in our division is better than having them all in the other division. Maybe it doesn't matter...

I know conference realignment has a restraining order out on geography and tradition, but that's why I'd pick KU and KSU :twitcy:

I'll also add that these rumors state that all the league members (except Baylor) want a condition in which the four Texas teams are divided 2 and 2. Why would that be?
