I picked TCU & Baylor. I think it would be easier and I want to see the Texas schools split. I think it is best for the health of the conference.

Keeping the Texas and Oklahoma schools together in the same division again would be absolutely idiotic for the long term health of the conference.

Here is one thing to remember...

I assume you'll still have 9 conference games. That means 5 games in your division and 4 others. Of the 4 others I assume either 1 or 2 will be annual rivalries. That means that even if there is only 1 rivalry game, you'll still play K-State annually and you'll still see everybody else every 2 of 4 years.

I'm sure it would help recruiting to keep a permanent presence with a minimum of 3 Texas games every year and an annual game with Florida State...then for the travel for fans if you have the Texas teams in your division instead of the Kansas teams, all you're really missing out on is 1 trip to Lawrence every 4 years.

So initially, I would think of course it'd be better to have the Kansas teams, but there is a lot more to it that initial reactions.

I'd much rather play ISU than TCU or Baylor, having said that I would rather KU stay in west more than anything. KU playing in the same division as Clemson and FSU make absolutely no sense.

Ideally we should just scrap the whole 12 team conference idea and go straight to 16 and ship TCU to the east and leave ISU with all the Big 8 schools in the west. I realize that TCU has old southwest ties as well, but they're the newbie to the conference so they get shipped east. While we're at it scrap the pod idea as well.

KU and K-State. The Jayhawks are a trainwreck and Old Man Snyder can't live forever. We'd still get to play in Texas most seasons. And the most obvious part, we have a huge amount of history with those schools.

Thats a funny remark "old man snyder cant live forever"...

I thought the same thing a few years back but now I think that Old Man Snyder is good for another ten to fifteen years in manhattan or is it the little apple...

ISU could have hired snyder ye olde man for a song in the late eighties but thought that 3 win walden was sooo much better.....

Another really bad mistake by the isu athletic director / department....

Just goes to show that KSU is a hell of a lot smarter than we are at ISU......
