I don't really see Rodgers playing another down in a GB uniform at this point. I think that ship sailed. He does not appear to want to work with GB and the front office anymore. Too many things happened in the last 12 months that sealed this.

I'm the opposite on this. I would say 70% chance he returns. He's not returning $29 million in signing bonus money. Packers are pretty opposed to trading him. Love isn't ready yet.

I'm sure GB would rather not trade him. They also should have thought about that before drafting Love and not bothering to tell Rodgers. I do think a trade is coming after June 2. I'm going to guess the trade will go down after the 1st preseason game. Some team will lose their QB to injury and start freaking out. Aaron isn't coming to training camp anyway. He'll jump a plane from Cali and go to his new team.

Rodgers was telling the team’s prospective free agents “before you make any decisions, I’m probably not gonna be there.”

Yikes. It's not a good look at all, but that's how you force your way out of an organization. That could really affect a team's ability to sign free agents. Not sure that the Packers can really do anything punitive about it.

Weird, I thought he didn’t have any power in this debacle…
Aaron Rodgers has a lot more power than the average player, though. If Jamaal Williams said the same thing, it wouldn't have the same effect. And regardless, he can't force the Packers to do anything. Not really. Can just make it uncomfortable

Rodgers is a ME guy. I'm glad I could care less about him or if he plays. I do hope her retires though.

Rumors floating around today that Cleveland could be interested. I assume GB would obviously be getting Baker Mayfield in return, plus some picks.

I don't want to see Rodgers go obviously, but if it has to happen... this is the most intriguing option I've heard so far. GB at least gets a NFL starting QB in return.... plus some picks.... and Rodgers doesn't get his wish to go out west somewhere.

Thoughts from other Packer fans??

Browns fans I know actually seem quite loyal to Baker, a guy they see as wanting to be there when others didn’t.

Do we see Rodgers and the fiancé embracing Cleveland?

Honestly tired of going through this repeatedly as a lifelong Packer fan. Would rather have Mayfield than some of the old second bananas that have been mentioned.

I don't care if Rodgers or his fiance like Cleveland.... and neither do the GB Packers. In fact... all the better if they hate it IMO. Rodgers doesn't have a no-trade clause in his contract, so he has no say whatsoever where GB trades him. So I say send him someplace terrible.... although Cleveland actually has a really good roster nowadays.

It would be nice if he leaves that it is somewhere that he hates but not sure I would wish him on Cleveland and as you said, their team certainly doesn’t suck.

I heard on the radio the other day that the cap hit to the Packers if they trade Rodgers was over 40 million against the team. Not sure how any team could absorb that big of a cap hit and field a competitive roster for the next few years.

The Packers would be better off calling Rodgers bluff and have him retire, collect part of his signing bonus then trade him.

While there would be a large cap hit if GB trades him, it would actually be about a $5 million savings over having him play for the year.

Also, waiting until after June 2ns would save a lot on this year's cap, but he would then become $17 million in dead money for next year and GB's cap situation for next year is worse than it is this season.
