Quite honestly, the majority of ISU players that played for LE speak highly of him. The guy challenged you, and some people will dispute how he did it, but he was able to get people to achieve things they never thought they could do.

One person's opinion on LE that I was always curious about is Paul Shirley's. Not sure we have heard it...

An athlete only gets 4 years to make the most of his college career, happy for him that he found the right fit.

That said he would have won more tournament games playing for Wayne.

Towards the end of the game there was a rather vocal chant of "You can keep him" if I remember right. That being said he's still a traitor.

His little brother did all right if I remember right he married Shelly Mossman from the WBB team. She was cute and smart both.

Shelly is our Edward Jones rep. Really nice, fun to talk clone hoops during our meetings.

Does he explain why he put out a statement saying he was staying at ISU, then announced his transfer a few days later? That is my recollection of what happened...

She actually started out at ISU with Adam. She transferred when he did.

This. I lived in Larch dorms when he did along with others from Carroll, IA. He grew up a Hawkeye fan I was told and credit Eustachy and his success for him even coming to ISU. That being said it was a bad decision if he was a Hawkeye fan all along. Someone of his talent should’ve never done that. I get it if you don’t have a lot of college offers but one of the biggest rivals of your favorite team that you play for? Just a bad idea. I foreseen him leaving when Eustachy thing went down. I knew quite some time in advance before the Eustachy partying story broke out. When most of the players lived in same form you did you get a good idea of how it was. Most cussed him daily but as long as he had success it was allowed. I thought he’d learn his lesson but Colorado St. firing proved he hasn’t long after ISU firing.

I’ve listened to the episode twice now. I don’t hate him as much as I initially did. He sounds a lot like Jess Settles now. Guys I thought were douche bags but when they talk ISU hoops, you can tell they respect our program, fans, and Hilton.

It likely still would have been 1 win so pointless.

A defining moment of Morgan's tenure for me was at OU in '06. ISU had a lead, on a break, and Blalock tried going around the back instead of just passing for the bucket and turned it over for an easy OU bucket. Pretty sure ISU was up 6-7 with about a minute left and plays like that just ****ed it up for them.

Still remember that.

Then we brought McDermott aboard for more discipline. Dark times.

Adam may be a nice guy, but will always be viewed as Benedict Arnold for ISU fans. Those were dark times for ISU, but he could have helped us through it. Irony is the coach he went to play for was also a douche bag....

I actually didn't think Ellis was that hateable. Easy target for jokes, yes. But I don't remember him being overly cocky, running his mouth, or playing dirty. Unless I missed something.
Elijah Johnson was easily the most hateable player from those KU teams. Or Jeff Withey

I did find it interesting during he interview that he said Alford made him promise to never get into coaching.
