AT is a cyclone because he chose to be. Adam lost his "cyclone card" because he chose to give it up. He can still be a fan, and root on his brother, but to me he's no longer a cyclone. If you'd ask any hawkeye fan, I'm sure they'd tell you that AT is no longer a Hawkeye, and that's fine with me.

^ AGREED!

I have no ill will towards Adam at all (I may have left as well) but he's not a card carrying Cyclone.

This is how I feel too. To me it wasn't that he left or where he went, it was how he went about leaving...

Some people just don't like a certain college and don't figure it out until after they attend classes. Look at Vette, he didn't know he was going to be homesick until after he left home. If he plays for someone who plays against ISU in the future (maybe UNI), I hold no ill will towards him. ISU just wasn't the place for Vette, but Adam based his choice on other "outside" factors....:skeptical:

Adam was sitting right behind me with his family (who are all VERY nice people) and I couldn't believe that someone in CA was yelling "Adam Haluska you suck!" to him a couple of times. We all just laughed it off and I told him not all Cyclones feel that way. Adam chose to leave for many reasons that you can't blame him for. Everything that was going on with the basketball program, I might have wanted to leave too. Some people don't realize that this is these guys' lives they're dealing with. It's not just a game or just about if they're a Cyclone or a Hawk. He made the best decision for himself, and you can't knock him for that. His brother now plays here and he came to support him. I think we as Cyclone fans need to be classy enough to treat Adam and his family with respect when they come to games. You don't have to like him, but you don't have to bash on him. Just my opinion.

I noticed when Sean hit that last 3, Adam was on his feet cheering.

Cyfan13, if like you say there was only one dirtbag shouting insults at Adam then I say good for us. With the 14000 electrically charged fans we get at Hilton having only 1 spew insults is refreshing. My gosh, can you imagine AT going back to a sold out Carver and only having to deal with one meathead? I can't either. Feel proud ISU fans, you have class.

That is true, but there were more than one. That was just the one that really stood out because he was yelling it very loudly and we sit right next to CA. For the most part, ISU fans are great, but there are quite a few that still hold a lot of anymosity toward Adam, and I just think it's uncalled for. There will always be those few that are like that, and those are the ones I was talking to.

Yeah I was afraid it would be more than one, that's unfortunate. I hope it made those shouting the insults feel superior because to the rest of us you look childish.

It is one thing to hold a grudge against Adam, and if someone does that is their issue. The line I think they cross is heckeling (spelling?) him while he sits with his parents and trys to cheer on his brother (and ISU). That is kinda low...:wideeyed:

I was standing in CA right in front of the guy who was yelling at Haluska, it was fairly harmless. The first time he yelled, Adam looked and started laughing which egged the kid on more. He was just trying to be funny yelling things like "an intramural championship is better than a big 10 championship!" I was actually surprised more people weren't yelling things at him.

I'm sure Adam considers himself a Hawk, which he should. He was in town to watch his brother, good for him.

Adam chose to leave for many reasons that you can't blame him for. .

Would one of the main reasons be that he couldn't stand Eustachy ?

I just figured he had enough and was ready to transfer, but then LE got fired and Adam gave Morgan a listen to stay, but was already mentally 'checked out' of Ames? I dunno, just my speculation, but I did hear he couldn't stand LE after one year.

I had to google him, I'd forgotten the guys name.

whoops, I must've clapped right through his name - I wouldn't of if I'd remembered who he was.

He screwed up just like so many of the guys we've forgiven...he's since gotten help and has to pay for his mistake every day for the rest of his life. Despite what he did in the past he is a good man today that has turned his life around. (just to clarify I'm talking about Brown, NOT Haluska...he's still wallowing in his own filth *half-kidding*)

There is a limit to my ability to let and let live. child porn is way on the other side of the line ... might take a few more decades.

Let's see ...

transfer to Iowa (AH) or 30 disks full of child porn (Brown), hmmm....

4th degree criminal mischeif (MT) or soliciting a 15 year old (Brown), hmmm...

I cannot believe Brown was there. You would think ISU would do everything possible to brush that under the rug.

You're right, when AT goes back to Carver I'm sure he'll be hearing it from all 6 of the fans in attendance

I'm not excusing in any way what he did and I know he doesn't either. It was a horrible thing and a serious problem. I am saying that I have spoken with him several times since and know that he has paid for what he did and turned his life around. I don't expect everybody to act like nothing happened but I know how hard it has been for him too and am glad he was able to get a few cheers yesterday.
