Seriously, why is every Cardinal fan going nuts over Pujols hitting a homer at his first at-bat of the season. It's Albert freaking Pujols, why is this so amazing/awesome?

What baseball fan, who is not a fan of the Cardinals, is not jealous of Pujols?

I'm just curious as to why everyone is making a big deal about how he hit a homer at his first AB. Its all over Twitter and FB. It should not surprise anyone that the guy hit a homer...

Like every great homerun hitter of this era.... We just sit back and watch and then eagerly await his first positive test for steroids. :wideeyed:

Man Cubs fans, and I like the Cubs, have all kinds of rage and jealousy built up. I get it though. As a Red Sox fan I really get it.

So if D. Lee or Soriano go yard in their first AB in the 2010 season you are going to not say a word?

sadly, i think he is admitting that d. lee and soriano blow, so he might make a big deal of it since it is not expected.. whereas it is not for pujols, the probable greatest hitter of our generation.

I'm going to post about Zambrano's first pitch. If its a strike I will talk about how I think he will win 20 games this year. If its a ball, well, the season is pretty much over for me!

What about Garrett Jones of the Pirates? He's had 2 ABs and has 2 HRs. He's slugging 4.000 for the season. He's on pace to his 648 HRs this year. :jimlad:
