Cubs fans are as delusional as Hawkeye fans.

Completely unfounded for and without a single fact to back it up.

I've got one that I can back up with multiple posts from Cardinal fans....

Cardinal fans think they have the sense of entitlement without reason that Hawkeye fans do.

I tell ya what...worry about the Brewers instead of the Cubs..they are 6 games ahead of you.

Yes, once in the last 5 years (2009), but go back another 5 and see what you get. A World Series Championship in 2006, 100 wins and NL Central champs in 2005, 105 wins and and a World Series in 2004. By the way, Albert was on both of those WS teams. How many of those 10 years did the Cubs finish within 20 games of the division winner? Probably not many.

GO CYCLONES!!!

So the Cardinals pitch to Pujols is going to be hey Albert we were good six years ago, remember those good ole days?

And the Cubs pitch is, "Well, we've sucked for a hundred years but we're on the way up"!

This back and forth could go on all day.

Regardless, right now the Cards aren't contending for a World Series any more than the Cubs are.

The whole reason for pointing that fact out is that if Pujols' chief goal is winning, then he wouldn't go to Chicago, and he wouldn't stay in St. Louis, either. It's NOT being pointed out as some kind of way to say that the Cubs are better than the Cards.
