Johnny Orr once said of David Moss, "He's got the longest arms I've ever seen on a white guy"!

Ron Harris was maybe the best defensive player ive seen in 35 years at Isu. He shut down Wayman tisdale and gave up 4 inches. He is also Harrison Barnes Dad for those that didn't know.

Wasn't Justus Thigpen a pretty good defender? All I can remember about his playing days at ISU was that he had a very unconventional looking jumper. With a shot that ugly he must have been good on the defensive side.

I remember that game. People who don't remember Wayman Tisdale won't understand how big of an accomplishment that was. He was first team All American THREE YEARS IN A ROW! That was hack a Wayman by ISU before Hack a Shak was invented.

I, however, will remember Ron Harris most for his offense. One of my first times playing pick-up bball in Beyer (before the Rec Center was built) I set up in the middle of the lane and Ron came down and planted a knee in my chest as he rose up to dunk over me. He landed a straddle of me on the floor with the wind knocked out of me and said, "Ain't no charges in pick up games white boy."

With that I would have later countered with, "there are no blocks, reach ins, or hacks in pick-up" and been like a gnat all day.

Not really. He had more steals than Bayless as a senior, but he really shouldn't be in an All-Defensive player thread.

Thigpen is 2nd in all-time career steals behind Hornacek, so I'd say he was kind of good.

PG McKat - Claws his way into the game
SG McCray - Snaps at defenders
SF McClap - Burns you and is like an itch you can't scratch
PF McKrot - [I'll let some other creative folks get this one]
C McKay - To use the far overused term: "rim protector"

Justice had an odd shot, but he was very streaky. When on, look out. Watch the 2nd half of the Oklahoma State game in 1992 (3?).
