Is it time for somebody to go medieval via the legal system on one of these bloggers for spreading lies/garbage? I'm sure the ISU AD got at least a couple of calls about this and had to waste time on it. The NCAA probably took some look at it and had to make a decision whether it was garbage or not.

Granted, the guy probably doesn't have a job or salary from which to recover any costs, but maybe the court could at least force his mom to disconnect his Internet...

With the exception that there's so much smoke to the Newton story that a bowling alley on league night is jealous and virtually everyone across the nation knows that Newton, Chizik, and Auburn are all in deep ****, as opposed to this thread being the first time that just about anybody in Cyclone Nation has heard about this, and it's coming from someone that's trying to stir a pot, and has already been ruled a "non-story".

Agreed. The only real points of debate with Cam Newton are:
1. will the NCAA take action on this before the season is over, or will it be some pointless action vacating wins on a finished season
2. will this hit chizik or will some booster take the fall

Its looking pretty damn unlikely that Newton is anywhere near innocent here. Even if Gene knows it, he'll keep playing him, and see what the NCAA does. If the NCAA does something to newton before the season's over, well, the season's ****ed anyways. If not, and he can win a national championship, nobody will care that it got vacated by the NCAA. Everyone will still remember them winning that game, the fans will still enjoy the ride, etc.
