This is one of my biggest pet peeves when I tell people how to stop the fogging of your windows on in the interior. Turn the thermostat to full heat and turn the freakin AC on with it. It dehumidifies the air while warming your car up. I've debated with people for hours on end about this and I can't believe everyone doesn't do this trick.

I've never heard of this and I have lived in the northern climates my entire life. I'll have to give that a shot.

The windshield replacement companies love to hear this advise. If the windshield is extremely cold, this is a recipe for ending up with a shattered windshield. If you add in a small rock chip, even semi-frigid temps can spread cracks across the windshield.

The safest method is to first turn on the heater to slowly equalize the temperature difference between the inside and outside surfaces of the glass. After the inside air temp gets close to comfortable, then it safe to crank up the defrost.

If you start your car and turn on the defroster full bore on high heat, the air is still cold until the engine warms up anyways, which is a gradual process and shouldn't shock the glass.

Strange, never had a problem with doing this in thirty years of driving in Iowa winters.

I simply posted it because I have known more than several people who have experienced the problem. I've also lived in colder climates than Iowa - once went through a 30 day stretch where the temperature never got above 0 degrees F.

:biglaugh: That's some funny ****! Chizz'd!

In the driving video, for some reason the sound of the windshield wipers crrrrrrkkkkk, cracks me up. You can always go out and start the car and go back inside, not like anyone's going to steal it and speed away.

It is funny how people react to stuff that you just grew up with and deal with pretty much on a daily basis this time of year. Probably similar to the reaction I had the first time I saw a cockroach from Louisiana.

Hmmmmm. That cockroach may have been from Alabama, and had an LSU jersey on, just to see what reaction it would get.

That was funny. I also loved the soundtrack.

33 - had trouble hearing the audio on that video, even with the sound all the way up on my laptop (lots of ambient noise). I didn't hear much after, "Don't Get Chizz'ed" - any synopsis?

I was able to hear most of it:

Basically Allen Bell was talking about some girl

Dude next to him is like "Don't get Chizzed man"

Allen Bell is like "What's getting Chizzed?"

Dude is like "Its when she be all up on you, says she loves you, and then just leaves you"

Allen Bell is like "She's calling me now" and answers the phone. He's like "what. No. You're leaving?". He hangs up and is like "Damn. She just Chizzed me."

It's basically something to that effect. Language isn't exact to not offend anyone...

I feel bad for some of those guys.

Even though Robinson is such a solid back, I always wondered why JJ didn't get more playing time. He had the spark.

Again, nicely done Mr. Bell. Mad props. If I run into you, I'll be giving you props. Please tho, someone give him some advice on how to handle the weather here.
