Am I only one not that upset?

Board is negative after the loss (of course), but it seems to be negative because of the play and not the officiating. Am I the only one not totally upset with the team's play today? If ISU just CATCHES A FREAKING KICK RETURN, then we are looking at a game that was tied at half and ends in a 10 point loss. I'm obviously not thrilled with that result, but we played a good team on the road as a 21 point underdog and were competitive for most of it. Really the game was lost due to horrendous special teams, which cost us 14 points. Given that every team we play the rest of the schedule will be easier, I'm still optimistic we can pick up a few wins the rest of the year.

Football is just a stupid game. Who cares who has the better football team. It's just a game.

You are not the only one, OP.

If the complainers today knew as much as they think they do, they'd be geniuses.

I'm pretty disappointed. Not upset, not letting it ruin my day, not calling for Rhoads's head, etc. like a lot of fans are.

Defense played well, special teams and offense did not.

When one expects to lose, losing doesn't hurt.

It just hurts that one expects to lose.

Typical ISU fan..."we lost pretty good." #sickoflosing #getarunninggame

It was entirely my fault. I watched the game and said to my buddy, "Hey, look, ISU is not going to give up a cheap touchdown with less than a minute left in the half!"

Not that upset. It will make it be an easier decision next year to not buy season tickets for the first time in nearly 20 years.

55 seconds decided this game. Not catching the kickoff and then allowing it was basically the difference. This offense is bad but the defense is bordering pretty damn good right now. They allowed 30 but one was on an incredibly short field and they gave the offense a short field the whole first half. We should have had, at a minimum, a 21-6 lead at halftime. At some point, whether they will realize or admit it or not, that defense is just going to get worn down mentally and physically. It's not about being on the field because they weren't on the field much in the first half, it's about giving great effort and making plays with nothing being given back to you. Then the special teams units start making HUGE mistakes and it would feel like you are the only unit holding up your end.

I'll say this: I hate blaming referees but this team is at a spot right now where they could be lost again. If you have to make it a them against the world thing to keep them together, that's what you have to do because you have one unit doing pretty well and one, for the 6th straight year, screwing up everything they do right.

I feel bad for the players. They played hard and the defense did pretty well. Not upset or angry and I still look forward to next week.
