anyone tried BWW's new menu items? I think they added a couple big burgers and the Southwest Flip.

the SW Flip is a good time. basically one of their flatbread pizzas folded over on itself - but just plain good.

and my go to is the Boneless Honey BBQ - wet.

I had a burger with a patty, steak strips, cheese and onion rings a couple weeks ago at the one in Ankeny. Don't know what it was called but it wasn't that expensive for how much food it was and it wasn't horrible.

Mini Corn dogs are awesome along with the cheese burger slammers and chicken strip slammers

I'm not a huge fan of the franchises either, but you can (usually) bank on what you get. I travel on business, and consistency can be attractive.
Beyond that, it's all about the staff.
Hooters, Tampa > Hooters, Des Moines

That's interesting. When I travel for work, I'm usually most interested in trying a place that is unique to the area (since I can get chain food in a decent sized city). I suppose if I'm short on time or just don't have time to determine what or where the good local place is, I may pop into a reliable chain.

I am trying to decide what is more overrated, BWW or Whole Foods. People get so darn excited about chains coming in, BWW is not that great.

I have to agree. I went twice to BWW at two different locations, and I was not impressed with the food at all.

Give me a pile of wings with a Hooter's waitress delivering them to the table over BWW anytime.

bww sucks. they use frozen processed chicken for their wings (gag) whereas WCW uses freshly cut all white chicken breast. ive been in the back of both and WCW has a better product unless you like a lot of preservatives in your food.

I actually think Hooters food sucks. But then, nobody really goes there just for the food, do they?
