No way does Steele hit Josh on both of those plays. Barnett has plenty of issues, but he is clearly better than Steele. They definitely need to drop the straight-up run play and stick with the zone read. Need much more zone read.

Gotta remember too that TCU is actually a legit defense. I would like to see some more zone reads too, maybe Barnett is telling Mess that he is seeing something out there with the zone reads so we arent running them.

Barnett is not any better than Jantz as some of you like to think. They are about the same. Jantz could have made those throws, Lenz was wide open. Jantz hit a throw like those to Lenz against Tulsa. The pick at the end of the half was a poor decision by Barnett. Just because you throw 2 bombs for TDs doesn't mean you're better. Barnett has like 25 yards if you don't count the 2 throws to Lenz. If Barnett is so good, where are the sustained drives?

Uh, yeah, still all kinds of question. Barnett made a bonehead move late and he has only hit two great throws. Points are points but there has to be some sort of consistency. To be honest, we are very lucky to be in the position we are in. Tackling has been bad, edge containment has been average at times and our offense is still anemic outside of two plays. We have to find a way to run the ball. This game, they aren't even loading the box. I also wouldn't mind seeing Richardson for a series. Let's see what the kid's got.

TCU can run the ball today because their offensive linemen are not getting called for holds. There have been some blatantly obvious holds that have opened huge holes for their RBs to run through that have not been called. Our OL needs to adjust and start grabbing some jersey of their own.

That's not on Barnett.

I am neither agreeing or disagreeing but we would have won last week if SJ made 2 plays like that. Even if those guys were wide open JB put the ball in there perfectly on both of them. Anyone else think Horne dogged it on the long ball that sailed by him?

Agree with this 100%. I see receivers do this all the time to in other games. Just don't get why they don't dive for it.

neither of our QBs are game breakers. but barnett has proven to do a better job of not single handily given up the games with turnovers.

Young may have actually been breaking open deep. I'm not sure where that ball was supposed to go be cause it came out so fricken wobbly. I think Barnett has arm strength but he struggles to keep the ball tight a lot of the time. Those long TDs as well as the one to Horne were beautiful balls.

Jantz has our longest run so far. Barnett started out 6-7 and is now 7-14, and frankly hasn't been maintaining drives.

I love how everyone says Jantz can make those throws...maybe he can, but he sure as hell doesnt see them when he is out there. I dont care who can make the throw, just make the smart throw.

Yes, I thought he would have had a very good chance at that if he just tried.

After the first quarter the debate was over. After the second quarter the debate is back on. Plain and simple, Barnett in the second quarter was as bad as Jantz has played all season.

I feel like with barnett on the field we have a field general, someone who's taking control of the team out there. Never felt that with jantz on the field.

How is it back on? Jantz is 1 to 1 on interception ration with some fumbles. So far Barnett is 2 to 1. Barnett has made one absolutely stupid mistake, but Jantz has done that type of play a lot!

Two plays aren't enough to win a game. Barnett is 7-14 for crying out loud. 1-7 in his last 7. Stop.

We have four first downs - last week we had two at half. I like the fact Steele came in on third down and nine. I'm up for that in the 2nd half
