I believe the Rag article said Nebraska is not in the running, and ISU is out as well. The remaining schools were UCLA, Iowa, A&M, and Pitt. Out of those I would probably take Pitt or UCLA, with UCLA seeming more likely. I could never hope to see a top recruit at Iowa, and I would rather not have to play against him if he goes to A&M. Pitt seems like a long shot anyways, so I'll pull for UCLA.

As Cyclone fans, would you rather see Bernstine go to an out of state school like UCLA or Ohio State, or stay in state and go to Iowa? just curious. (of course we'd like to see him in ames). But if that kid goes to Lincoln I'll puke.

I'll probably get flamed for this, but I'd rather have him go to one of our regular opponents so we can kick the bejesus out of him on the field. (not so much physically, mainly in terms of score)

I just think he is foolish not to strongly consider coming to play under a coach who has coached 3 straight Thorpe award winners as a defensive coordinator.

I will bet on UCLA and the regal limelight on the left coast. If he was so sold on Squaks, he would have committed by now. Kirk may move on before the next four years.

I still think he'll be a Hawk when it's all said and done.

I don't see him as a big difference maker on the field and I don't think that he'll be anything special on the collegiate level.

He's a very good player for the Des Moines area, but that hasn't meant much the last 20 years or so.

The main reason that he is a 4-star recruit is because of the impressive #'s he put up at some camps. As we know, measurables don't always equal great success on the field.

I also am one of the few that don't expect him to go to Iowa and I don't think they'll be crying themselves to sleep if he doesn't. Fans and the media make this guy out to be some sort of can't miss kid. He's far from it.

What more can the kid do?

His videos are impressive, and he has the numbers. True the Des Moines area isn't the best for football, but many good D1 players have gone against less talent in high school.

The feeling is that he will make his decision before Christmas. Probably before the end of the week. There was a small blurb about it in the Iowa City Press Citizen. Take it for what it's worth but he will end up being a Hawk by next week.

I wonder what type of impact the quiet period will have on Chizik's recruiting. Is it possible that ISU take on some questionable recruits grades wise like Iowa did last year with Derrell Johnson. Is it out of the question to also think that he will bring in kids after the Feb signing period. With the transition on the coaching staff it will be interesting to see how things pan out.

Even though I am a hawk fan, I do not hate the clones. I happen to work for them, so I'm not one of those clone haters...except when they play the hawks.

Sounds like a case of sour grapes...we can't get him but we didn't even want him in the first place because he isn't really THAT good...

Come on, look at the schools recruiting him...he is THAT good. He would have been a GREAT sign for ISU.
