On break from regular job but getting some hours at my side hustle of stocking shelves at a local store a few days.

It's usually a pretty chill gig but I learned today that a few days before Christmas everyone's taken their nicey nice face off and needs some cranberry sauce RIGHT ****ING NOW.

Testifying
I don't mind working this time of the year.
Good way to get emails sorted, maybe have a mediocre bowl game on in the background.

Just curious what other fanatics have going on. I'm working this week, with holiday time on the 24th and 25th. Most everyone else is out of the office, I don't have any holiday plans, and I get to roll over vacation so I figured I might as well take advantage of some quiet days at work.
I do the same. It's so quiet where I work and we have no major family plans. So I offer to cover for some of my team and have a quiet week and save some PTO.

In office today, WFH tomorrow, Christmas off (still have to use a PTO day), in office Thursday, WFH Friday. M-Thu next week in office, Friday WFH. #FiscalEndOfQuarter

Tomorrow's just going to be posting credit invoices that I just haven't gotten to.

Husband also has surgery next month, and I need to keep some PTO for that.

I am so glad my father carried mail when he did. He would absolutely hate to deliver packages on Christmas.

The transportation industry scoffs at holidays. I'm off Christmas (skeleton crew working), but here every other day. Hopefully, we can cut out early tomorrow if the disasters stop long enough.
25th is off working full days thru NYE.

Worked today and will work Friday. A bunch of folks are going in tomorrow for a half day but I’m not sure why other than “the culture”. I also had to take a handful of days the last couple weeks for my BILs funeral. I haven’t taken this much time off in a while but wish it would have been on better terms.

It seems like most of my time off throughout the year gets eaten up by kids being sick or appointments.

Have to use PTO on Xmas day? Who do you work for, the American Atheist Association of America?

Seriously, other than like first responders and some covid-esque "essential workers" type stuff... but that doesn't jibe with posting invoices.
