Anyone else hearing that JP has already decided Prohm is coming back?

Iastate07 is the new Cat Stevens. Except he uses the laugh emoji on everything instead of the dumb emoji.

All 2 or 3 of them? Good one. It's funny you think something changed in the last week in regards to Prohm. It's funny that you say you don't care if people believe you. You absolutely care what people on here think of you.

no it’s not this past week. It’s dealing with diners to make sure the buyout money was there. Had nothing to do with this last weeks loses

Did the diners do this before or after they paid the check?

Your vast knowledge of the inner workings of the ISU Athletic Department never ceases to amaze.

I really like Steve Prohm the man, the person, and for awhile i even defended and sympathized with him. But going 0-fer in conference play eliminates any feeling bad for the guy losing his job, for me at least.

Timing of any change, if it happens, is going to be interesting with JP's time commitment to the Tournament Committee and all the meetings, watching games, and involvement in managing the actual event. JP is going to be very busy, with or without a change.

Well, having a "strong idea" is much better than.......

i agree with that. Probably all boils down to a coach that’s willing to leave the current team. TJ, Moser, and the rest are probably strong candidates. However, the buyouts and willingness to leave the current situation is a huge factor

Here’s why I think Prohm gets fired this year - say you do bring him back for one more year and he sucks again (he will) and you have to fire him after next year. That saves the AD $1.25 million or so in buyout money. I know money is short this year but $1.25 million to bury this program even more just isn’t worth it.

We all know Prohm isn’t magically turning this program around. He couldn’t do it with Shayiok, THT, and Halliburton on the same team - he’s likely going to go 0-18 in conference play this year. What does success look like if he does come back? 4 wins? 6 wins?

just looking at whose leaving the program after this year. We won’t win that many next year. We lose Solo, our only legit big man that has proven himself, lose our best shooter JCL, probably a few others.

At this point, I would say it is 50/50 Prohm is back next season.

I don’t see how it could be 50/50. What is left to wait on to decide? We are clearly not achieving any goals this season. JP has long ago had to decide if keeping Prohm hinged on this season or not. If it did, the decision is made. If he decided he was keeping him regardless of how the season played out, then it’s already decided as well.
