Anyone else worried about the way Jantz runs with the ball?

I am more concerned with Herman saying he needs to stay in the pocket. Has Hermy been watching what happens when Steele breaks contain? I hope he doesn't try to limit this kid's play making ability.

I'm more concerned with how he takes a seat in a lecture hall without hurting his giant stones.

LoL. I had one cute Iowa chick-fan mention a lot of Iowa coeds are gonna transfer to ISU cuz' of Steele

PS: I'm more concerned of him getting hurt scrambling so much.

1) Watch his eyes when he scrambles. He is always looking down field. Like a good point guard his head is always up looking for the open man.

2) He is a lot like Colt McCoy. He could be a lot like John Elway.

3) He has played his best football when the game is on the line.

4) I like our chances in all of the games this year, if our key people stay healthy. He gives us a chance.

Also, when he runs, he either gets out of bounds or slides before taking a big hit. When he had the long first down run in the last overtime (i think) he went out of bounds at the 4 yard line. If you watched the replay, it looked like he wanted to jump 3 hawk defenders to win but stepped out of bounds.

I heart Steele
This is what i am much more worried about...man if he gets hurt we are ****ed...

Forthose of you scared he will get hurt, I dont think this is any more likely than any other qb, he seems to avoid contact as much as possible either sliding early or running out of bounds, he rarely is "taken" down. Sometimes during the EIU game I was thinking he was sliding TO early but id rather him do that than get hurt.

Worried about the way Jantz runs with the ball? Uhhhhh no. Without him running with the ball, we'd be 0-2 right now.

That's like asking if you had trouble with the way Seneca Wallace ran with the ball? He carried it in one hand too.

So no, I'm not worried at all. I'll be worried when he stops running with the ball.

Plus... I heard he has hands of Steele anyway!

I sure hope we aren't jinxing the guy and he has 4 fumbles tonight.

All it takes is one hit but i completely agree that he is great at avoiding getting hit...being scared he is going to get hurt comes with a qb that likes to take off and with him always watching down field (which is also great dont get me wrong) he is more likely not going to notice a defender flying towards him in his blind spot

I keep watching the game highlights and other videos and every time I see Jantz scrambling, he doesn't secure the ball, just holds it in one hand. I hope this doesn't come back to bite us...

At the game, and later reviewing the film, it appeared to me that he runs to avoid big hits. I like that a lot.

Not at all. Dude knows what hes doing. Im sure the coaches will enforce a fix should there be one.

jantz has a sixth sense to hit the ground b4 he is tackled. that helps him from getting hurt and he pulls the ball into his body. he has exceptional vision for an athlete. that is why steele jantz is a winner.
