"The Coal Mine"? How is this not a gay bar?
I just did some research, the Coal Mine is the gym for "Handle University" which is a basketball training program run by John Lamb, the guy that got kicked off the Iowa State team as a walk-on for the same reason as Calvin Godfrey.

Never heard of the The Coal Mine in Urbandale. Even Google couldn't find it, unless it really is in a coal mine per what it brought up.

It's a little gym in DSM area. Probably calling it The Coal Mine because of old mining history out that way. Complete with Hawkeye court logo and IOWA HAWKEYES even though owner played at Morehead State and was on ISU roster as a senior walk on for a short time. Great "career" at ISU. Got booted after his sit out year before he ever suited up, just a couple of months being charged with "manufacturing marijuana" with intent to sell. Not sure how all of that turned out, it was ten years ago.

Guessing the Garza's host "camps" there.

Dammit, you "spiked" the ball on me by one minute because I type so slow! ;)

But I included a photo FTW!

Ahh...so this is the place were a lot of hawk fans get their "so called" degree from. Just like Phoenix, Southern New Hampshire, Liberty, etc. I assume. ;)

Testifying
For the most part, I like Jess. I think he truly respects ISU's program and he definitely respects Hilton's environment.

They had Frank Garza on KGYM 1600 in the CR area a few days ago. You talk about a scary and creepy individual.... yikes. His entire personality is one of a total scammer.... and that's what he's doing to Hawk fans with this event. And it's how he got in so much trouble with the law years ago as well.

I wouldn't trust that guy for nothing.
