The Baylor Tailgate scene went from non-existent to average in the years after Briles came to Baylor, but since McLane has opened it's outstanding.

Wear your Clone gear through the tents and you will get multiple offers for food and drink... there is alot of respect for your football fan base in the face of minimal positive results...

Georges is a great place if you would rather not join strangers tailgates and the food is pretty good...try the crazy wings with ranch dressing.

I'd say park in the neighborhoods just north of MLK... families will let you park in their yards for $20-$30

The venue is as beautiful as college football gets.

Part of that was actually due to them relaxing the policy on drinking at tailgates. We were there two years ago for the beatdown and one of the parking attendants said it was the first year they had openly allowed alcohol at tailgates. That would explain the rise in the tailgate experience in Waco.

they ignored it pretty much starting in 2010... as long as you weren't being stupid no one was going to hassle you

No doubt. Too many church ladies and deacons with too much of a voice historically. They're starting to be ignored thankfully. The general unwritten rule is enjoy your beverages, just don't ruin it for everyone else.

I think the only ones in recent years who couldn't abide by that were SMU fans in 2012.

Good luck to the tailgating Cyclones. Not sure those little tent things are hurricane worthy.

The KU ice bowl tailgating for us was a lot of sitting in the pimpin' minivan.

Hope no one gets hurt playing in the mess.

Its still amazing that with the success that you guys have had that your tailgating is still so small timey even if much improved. Maybe Iowans just don't have anything better to do than get drunk with 60k people for 8 hours in a parking lot in the middle of nowhere.

This video shows about 1/3 of the total tailgates. Only the Peninsula and the docks. There is also a large area on the Law School side of the Umphrey Bridge that extends all the way to University Parks Drive, and then on the other side of MLK (the street North of the Stadium parking) There is George's Tent, Tailgating and then in the Back RV Parking. There is also a large group that parks and TG's in the Ferrell Center parking lot about a mile down the river.
