Sorry if this has already been discussed but is there a spring game this year? If so where is there any info on this? I searched this site and Cyclones.com and can't find anything about a game this spring.

As long as CMC is coach we won't have one, which is fine, but I wish we could have some sort of "spring tailgate" day. Get out of the house, fire up the grill with our cyclone brethren and drink some brews on a nice spring day
You should just go rogue and start a Facebook event. I’m sure the coaching staff would come out if you got enough people. Call it the unofficial official spring tailgate
Thanks and I totally agree - surprised JP hasn't setup a Saturday to invite everyone to tailgate together and maybe have the coaches and players walk through the lots.
I bet you see the vast majority of P5s cancel their spring games.
Assume ISU won't have another one until the NCAA allows a spring game/exhibition to be exempt and not count against the 15-practice limit. And even then, I wouldn't hold my breath.
I get why Campbell doesnt like it. But It's a shame, because my kids were just getting old enough to enjoy coming, especially if it was a nice warm spring day.
The way things are going with COVID-19, I wouldn't be surprised that a lot of P5 schools would cancel.

Yeah, put me in the bummed out camp w/o a Spring Game. I get it and I don't expect one but damn it was nice when we'd have nice weather and everyone could get out of our holes and sit in the sun at JTS.

Maybe, just maybe the guys who run CF would put something on, get some beer and whiskey sponsors, get people grilling. Just hoping.
Have they done an outside event? I think it would be too costly as you aren't paying to get through the door. I only remember them having bar events.
I don’t think this is true. I know that he doesn’t like them, but I think the thing is he needs a moderately decent excuse not to have one. Bad weather is one, construction is another—which will probably apply this year and next.

I've done this for CF a few times. Needs something to rally around. Most recently, we had a fundraiser tailgate before/after the MBB Texas game.
It would be really fun if there was a one game exhibition at the end of spring practice against another team that fans could attend. Watching us scrimmage Illinois or Minnesota would be a blast.
