I’ve not see any at the new stadium (which is fantastic, by the way) but there are so many bars and restaurants nearby you can just do that if you get there early. It’s definitely more kid friendly and about 25% the cost of going to an MLB game so lots of families and kids there. It’s one of my daughters favorite things to do in the summer.

Must be your location, I am in the Southern tier of counties, and no longer get the Twins and Brewers, it stopped a couple of years ago.

About 20 of the 30 have good to great attendance, its the Florida teams, Oakland and teams like the Reds, Royals and Pirates that really struggle attendance wise.

19 teams drew 2 million or more, 4 teams drew 3 million, the WS were 24K of 2 million and SD was 9K short of 3 million. While attendance was down from the before Covid, its really city by city.

I hope so. I hope this mess turns into something good. I know for a fact that the FO of the Twins is super pissed with Bally and would not resign with them. I hope they see they need to go a different route.

The talk on the MLB network last week was they were hoping that a streaming service like Amazon or Google would purchase the rights and then instead of local cable or satellite, just stream all the games. Both companies they said have plenty of cash on hand, that live sports are one of the few areas that make money, and for the first time, more people stream than watch cable TV.

I am what you would say an MLB fan that would watch if available. But if i have to struggle to watch something (even if I pay for a package that is supposed to provide it) then I move on. I seriously don't understand this business model. its like they are trying to shrink their audience to attempt to get more people in the stands.

Baseball used to be America's past time, if they keep this crap up, they are going to rank behind NHL and Soccer in 10-15 years...lol

So figure something out....

NBA related. When NBATV shows a game, they use the regional broadcast. So when they show a Bulls, Timberwolves, or Pacers game, it gets blacked out (YTTV, Cedar Rapids). Not sure if NBA league pass would solve this issue or not. Hopefully, next year, espn or tnt will schedule more Pacers games with the anticipation that the Pacers might be better next year and have more of a national appeal.
