Um…this many injuries means the quality depth is injured, too.

And next year the roster is smaller.
Yeah you’re right, just sitting on our hands and whining online will definitely help things get better from here. Gonna cancel my donation

If you’re disappointed in the best record thru 10 games this school has ever had, then that means the bar has been raised. Who raised that bar???? Damn I wonder, but yeah we should totally just fire him
Where did I ever say we should fire anyone? Learn how to read people.

Our schedule this year is pathetic. That's just facts. We are a pretty mediocre team that has benefited greatly from an easy schedule. But you can only play the teams on your schedule. Gotta give some credit out for going 8-2 against mediocrity... I agree. CMC deserves a LOT of credit for everything he's done here... and I've said NUMEROUS times that we need to keep him here because I don't think we can do any better with what we can afford to pay.

With all that being said... I do feel bad for the players at times. This staff constantly is holding them back from what they are capable of doing IMO. I don't believe in holding back the player's competitiveness and confidence in themselves and what they feel they can accomplish.

I'm not going to forget that one game a while back where we run a QB sweep on 3rd and 10 and lost a yard... and Rocco getting up and saying... "what the f are we doing?".

Give these kids a chance to show what they can do... don't hold them back with horrible play calling, strategy, etc.... that's really all I'm saying. I wouldn't want my players thinking after the season... "man.. we could have went undefeated with this schedule this year had we not been so conservative, played to our strengths, and weren't being held back.".

Genuinely curious.

How is $5 a month going to get the team less injured?

Because a “normal” amount of injured players probably means 8-1, if not 10-0 right now.

Indeed, the law of averages suggests we go through ‘25 practically injury-free.

I'm not ******** about the 'rot'. Someone pointed out that people complaining need to pitch in and give $5 per month. And I just said that I think it's going to take a lot more than $5 to be better than we are.

I'm very happy with this season so far. Am I disappointed by the 2 losses? Of course---because it seemed like we had a shot to have a once in a lifetime type of season. But I love this team, I love these coaches and I think it is a miracle that we have been able to retain all of the players we have. In addition, it is a miracle that we've been able to overcome the injuries like we have.

By any objective measure---wins, ranked wins, bowl games, conference finishes, NFL players the last 9 years have been the best Iowa State football has ever been. By a lot.

I’m sorry if actual facts got in the way of your “logic”.

Please, feel free to try again.

And note that I never said that donating was bad. Just that your point was invalid.

Let's not act like we have any ******* idea what Rocco actually meant by that comment. First, you are depending a lot on actually being able to read lips and/or have seen the entire part of what he said. Or he could have been mad at the line for not blocking correctly or someone for being out of position or just the fact that it didn't work. And he could have been pissed at the play call. Or maybe he was just frustrated.

To damn the entire coaching staff based on that one stupid thing is ******* moronic.

If everyone that’s whining actually chipped in, we’d get better players. But I’m sure all you rotters are just happy being miserable and not backing the team

You think people are upset with the players? I don’t think that’s what people are upset about.

Can I suggest they donate to the gridiron club for a buyout fund? If folks spent as much time helping the program as they do whining, maybe we could get the results they want

With this schedule... yeah kinda. Sad but true.

Sure beats losing though... I will definitely give you that. So that's good!
So before the season started... you thought we'd be better than 8-2 right now?

And if I told you how many injuries we'd had, would you have still said 8-2?

I think people are underestimating how hard it is to win with this skeleton crew.

2 things:

1. I don’t have an issue with the coaches. Some play calling has been a little confusing but I know I have to live with not knowing what they are thinking.

2. I don’t think you can earmark a donation for that.

Rotters blame Campbell because we have lost 2 games. Campbell sucks and we would be better off with pretty much anyone else because our schedule is incredibly easy now. But they do not want him fired. They just want to mindlessly *****…….about everything. Even ******** about wearing black.

Then can I ask is there anything this fan base can do to help make the team better? In my eyes, that’s donating to those 2 organizations rather than whining about an 8-2 start

Right. Either own it or shut up about it.

I'm an idiot who defended Prohm WAY too long. So it's not like my judgement is infallible. But if you think the coaching is as bad as is implied by several posters, then you should want a new coach. That's just common sense.

No there isn’t. Even giving away your money doesn’t necessarily help make the team better.

Well you and I disagree on that one. What do you think our record would be if we had $0.00 to pay players? You tryna line up at qb?
