Re: Who will be Fred's on bench mentor?

I would like to put in my name for VTWE. I also can press the chapter skip button on DVD's.

Seriously, though, I would love Davis on our bench, but it probably would never happen.

Ditto. I would love the hire, but I'm not holding my breath.

I'd trust Larry Brown or Floyd to steer me to the right guy.

Dear Mr. Fudd,

We regret to inform you that your resume was pitched when we realized that you couldn't abbreviate "Video Tape Rewinding Expert" correctly. Thank you for your interest in the position!

Sincerely,

Coach Morgan

Can we hire him?
He has fast paced styed of play, and si a good X O coach. His downside is he does not discipline players much

Re: Coach Morgan

I don't know that I consider Morgan Xs and Os kind of guy. His style of play was definitely up tempo but more of a "street ball" style. Exciting to watch, just inconsistently effective.

Think of it like Mizzu's 40 minutes of hell, just less organized and not implemented nearly as well.

It was more like somewhat organized chaos. Again, that can work and at times it did. But chaos is inconsistent too.

Re: Coach Morgan

Worst. Idea. Ever.

Unbelievable, really - we only bring back ISU's second-biggest living legend and those with overtly-scary man crushes on Morgan still can't get over the fact that he was fired.

Let. It. Go.

Re: Coach Morgan

TERRIBLE X's and O's guy, great recruiter. With TJ and Grayer I think we have enough assitants that will have recruiting as their main focus. So yes we do need an X's and O's guy as an assistant but Morgan would be the last choice for that.

Re: Coach Morgan

Again, again and again: would you work for someone who fired you and you felt the decision was extremely unfair ?

Re: Coach Morgan

Honestly, I haven't played since middle school and I could write up Morgan's X and O's kind of stuff.

Morgan recruited the **** out of people and then let them run. Not too hard to scheme. Hard to achieve.

Re: Who will be Fred's on bench mentor?

Perhaps not, but it would be an order of magnitude less than the giant turd that Bowlsby dropped on him. I wish Doc Tom weren't so classy. IF I were he I would take vengeance upon the idiots who ran me off.

Dr Tom is pretty tight w/ Iowa now that some time has passed. Could not see him coming to Ames. He's about as classy as they come and we'd be fortunate to get a guy like him.
