Oh, man, I had forgotten about the temperature at last year's UNI game. Brutal.

I'm surprised that what we believe is a stratospheric enthusiasm for the new staff doesn't translate to a sell out three days before kickoff. Maybe we all talk to each other too much, we reinforce in each other a conventional wisdom that isn't supported by fact?

The people on this site are going to the game if they can. The casual fan doesn't have the same excitement for 8 wins in 3 years, even with a new coach (that they probably don't know much about).

The enthusiasm might be stratospheric but there are fewer to be enthused after the last three years.

Yeah, I guess. I'm trying to reconcile a great attendance record last year with what appears to be something less for this season's first game. Thought UNI fans turn out big-time in Ames. . . .

But, the last three years don't belong to Matt Campbell.

There should be 61,500. If that many attended last year, then the same should this year since the temperature will be about 15 to 20 degrees cooler than it was last year. Plus, fireworks and wall of fire.
I remember walking into the SEZ club and getting punched in the face by the AC. I have never been so glad to be in AC as I was at that moment, especially after tailgating for 7 hours prior. This year looks to be about perfect.

Speaking of the SEZ, does anybody know how sales for that have been this year? My immediate curiosity last year was how those tickets would sale once the novelty wore off solely because the seats are arguably the worst in the stadium.

I have no idea, but they are a whole lot more comfortable than bleachers.
