How are they after? The last time I was in iowa city was when kirk called the timeout to ice the kicker. Missed the kick but didn't matter because of the timeout. Then made it.

Hope you enjoyed it. Reminded me of being there for Cole Nettens game winning fg in 2014. This is a much better cyclone team at least

One more thing for you to know, OP. Walking out of Kinnick after a come from behind win is one of the best feelings of your life. I was there for the 2002 Seneca game and it was amazing.
SAME! i mentioned in another thread that the 2046 game is a lock.

I agree whole heartedly. It was almost as if I traveled to the inner circle of hell and defeated Satan and his demons myself, emerging victorious.

I had one guy tell me nice win, enjoy your 6-6 season, but all I had to do was reply scoreboard. Super awesome feeling

Bands don’t go to either place anymore. Bandgate stopped that.

I think ISU's band might have been out even before that.

The year before, they moved the ISU band up into the upper deck, which forced them to have to squeeze through the Iowa crowd to get to and from the field, which was a dangerous situation as the band always received all kinds of abuse from Iowa fans when it is in Iowa city

The move was part of it for safety reasons for sure. Covid may have been an excuse to not start again after that game was canceled. My son was a section leader then and said Carichner told the band during camp the following year that after the Iowa band incident that ISU and UI agreed visiting bands would not be part of the Cyhawk FB game.
To make it a positive Carichner said it would give the band more opportunities to visit other Big 12 schools. My son said the leaders were told the band reached out to Oklahoma to travel there as next away game visit with the FB team and OU said no, band cant come. OU was the only school that said no. Interesting that partial OU band came to JT in the stands.

We also have a neighbor to the west who has been somewhat humbled lately but for about 50 years was just as bad or worse than them.
Nebraska fans have been humbled, but they were never violent or even boorish. They were arrogant and elitist. I went to a game there and people were actually buying us drinks pregame. Our team was no threat to them and they treated us that way. I have never gotten the feeling from them that fans were itching for a fight. In IC that’s all you see. They get up in your face just wanting you to say something back so they can fight you.
