I believe the boys new the coaches job was in their hands, and did what it took to get their coach back. They came up from the depths, in spite of being a young team they banded together and prove that they can compete with the best of them. This team will be a top two team in a few years. Believe it or not. :spinny:

I do agree. And we only lose the three mentioned above? We are set to do some great things.

There once was a Cyclone named Dan
At ISU he was the man
His opponents, he’d stick
And he’d do it sooo quick
He became to us ‘Clones, Superman

But along came the Hawks with their tape
To lure him away, and his cape
As their coach he did win
Once again and again
And he left us poor Cyclones agape

Then appeared a new Cyclone named Cael
As a wrestler he never did fail
And we got him to stay
As our helmsman, Hooray!
And so, we were ready to sail

But the Hawks would still not let us win
And this caused our coach Cael much chagrin
He loved winning so much
When Penn State got in touch
Us ‘Clones took blow two to the chin

The bottom was not a great place
But risen we have, and with grace
Now Coach Jackson and team
Have inspired us and seem
To be headed back into the race

Good work, Tensas!

I would like to give a shout out to Travis Poulsen. If it weren't for him, the outcome would have been very different. Who do you think is really working and teaching these wrestlers?

Like I have said all season, if you get rid of KJ, probably most of the staff would be gone also. I think we have a great staff and they all seem to compliment each other.

I think you're right..About this time last year most on the forum were doubting KJ. I don't think people considered that there was a possibility that some of our staff would have left in the event KJ was given the boot..The Paulsons didn't have to stick around when Jackson's tenure began and when it took a dive, but they believed in Jackson and what he could do with the program..As did Reader-who in KJ's first year failed to be an AA...Only to go undefeated en route to his NCAA title in KJ's second year..Look at the progress we've made since last year...(MORENO!!!) We have gone from rebuild in 2013 to reload in 2014.

Except of course when he's at a bachelor party instead of wrestling practice, but I digress on that point.

I'm enjoying a bit of crow thanks to our efforts in DSM. There's still a ton of work to be done and I have my doubts we'll get to where we need to be, but for one weekend in DSM it looked like our guys belonged. The players and coaches brought it. Well done. Looking forward to next year already.
