Thanks for the clip. Never watch smackdown so I would never have seen this clip. The glares from the girls in the crowd was hilarious.

I read about it on the Internet and searched out youtube.

Over the last few years, I've turned into a CM Punk junkie (Punkie?).

Watch the video from the mafia thread, if it hasn't been pulled down from that site. It is amazing!

No, it's not. "Signed contracts" are as much of a swerve as any of the rest of it. Unless of course, you really think Punk was negotiating with Vince for a private jet that "didn't stink".

Obviously, "signed contracts" are a storyline. My point in saying "it's confusing" is that it ruins the storyline.

In other news, Monday's RAW was the best evidence that Cena is horrible. CM Punk was killing both at the beginning and end of the show and then Cena showed up.

Amen. I never wanted a guy to disappear more than Cena.

Sorry I hate to ruin the thread, but I have a genuine question. How can anyone who KNOWS it is all staged get into wrestling? There is no real passion or competition involved! ...well at least pro wrestling is better than Operation Repo...

For those who understand, no explanation is needed.
For those who do not understand, no explanation is possible.

Because these guys are entertainers. For example, CM Punk has been amazing the last few weeks. We can't wait to see what he'll do next. Plus, I respect the craft these guys do. It takes an amazing amount of skill to do all their high flying stunts without getting hurt or hurting their opponent.

Amen to this. If people think this is easy they should watch an episode of Tough Enough. The trainers make drill Sargents look week. One wrong move inside that ring can end a person's career.

Without one wrong move, how long would Stone Cold have lasted? I know he wrestled for years with the neck injury, but enough was finally enough, and it all came from one fairly routine move.

Tell me about it. Probably would of had another 3-5 years, and person who f'd up that move was the late Owen Hart who learned from the best in the business his father Stu Hart.

I wasn't the biggest Stone Cold guy around, but he was OK. There was just something about the meanest, toughest, SOB around giving people the finger that didn't quite register right, with me.

You never know in the 'rasslin' business. Austin was a failed tag-team wrestler, so broke he was living in his car. Now, he's an icon and is that term way over-used, or what?

I wouldn't call him a failed tag-team wrestler. The Hollywood Blondes were hugely successful, and his matches with Pillman after they broke up were amazing!

Two guys loaded with athletic ability and wrestling ability that knew each other well enough to pull out all the stops.

He wasn't failed. He just worked under failing management.

Austin is still fun to watch when he comes back for hosting or what not. Still love it when he gives the Stunner.

Huge Stone Cold fan as my avatar gives away. I loved a guy that was anti-authority and got to kick the boss's ***. I think many fans like me lived through him want we all would love to do to our own boss sometimes.
