For some reason, I love song threads.

I had to drive to Madison for work last week, and listened to my iPod a good portion of the way since the rental didn't have any satellite radio. I was thinking about some of the songs that I have on there that are technically considered "bad" songs which are actually awesome.

For example, "Rock You Like a Hurricane" or absolutely anything by The Scorpions. Yes, it's 80s hair rock, but they are pretty fantastic. Also, most music by Flight of the Conchords and ANYTHING by Tenacious D (minus a few things on the soundtrack from the movie) - humor rock isn't traditionally good music, but both bands do a good job musically in addition to being funny.

Others?

Some songs are great while on a road trip. In the old days I took a 3-week trip out west with a buddy and we ran through all of our cassette tapes we brought ---by the time we entered the New Mexico desert

Never a stoner, but my buddy pulled out a blunt to smoke and then stuck in the (movie) Soundtrack cassette of "Grease" ....It was hilarious and awesome and memorable in the middle of a hot summer afternoon in nowheresville New Mexico

The only tape I remember from that trip out of the 30 we brought with us
