Anyone ever purchase tickets directly from another school in an attempt to get better seats? I can't imagine Texas Tec sells all 850 in the lower level.

Sorry this is a little off topic, but lets say I request the allotted tickets that I can get 4. Is everyone guaranteed them, or is it something where it is based off of the tickets holders points system?

i.e. Has anyone ever been turned down for tickets, or only received a percentage of their tickets?

Years ago we purchased some tickets through U Texas when the games were at the Kemper arena. The seats were not good. The universities all work together now so the extra tickets are not as readily available. It is much easier for Texas or TCU to sell all of their extra tickets to ISU or KU in a large pool and not hassle with parceling the extra tickets out in small quantities to far off zip codes not in their databases.

The KU fans I sat by at the Championship game last year claimed they got their seats through the TCU athletic department. Who knows if that was legit?

The last 2 years the athletic dept. has accommodated every request for tickets.

But, we just got a letter last week saying that guaranteed number of tickets per request may be going down this year. (i.e. non cyclone club season ticket holders can only request 2 tickets instead of 4, I think.)

This will be my first year requesting these tickets, so I hope that I can get some this year. We had tickets in the upper deck, but were able to move down for at least the Oklahoma game.

I got the letter in the mail the other day, and I believe it said sometime in December they will be emailing everyone to see what their requests are.

I think there will be some sort on online ordering opportunity this year, too.
And, if you order and don't hear from them by Feb. 19, you'll get the number of tickets you ordered.
