Every fanbase has their bad eggs. Maybe some of those cyclone ones talk a lot on here.
Eh, Mulkey said to punch people in the face and issues at Baylor are no different than any other school, and your fanbase cheered.

BUT, Iowa State doesn't profess to be a CHRISTIAN institution. AND, last I checked, ISU hasn't been embroiled in institutional complicity in life-destroying cover-ups/scandals. On the other hand, your institution was the enabler of TWO unbelievably AWFUL scandals in a period of less than TWO DECADES. This is what is sooooo embarrassing for those of us who are Christians because it gives skeptics of Christianity all the more reason to see it as a religion made up of people that don't live what they preach. I look at your institution like I do the Peter Popoff ministry of the 80s -- he used religion to "get ahead" in the world, just like BU used its religious privacy status to cover up heinous crimes - all to be #1 in sports. I wish your institution would cut off its official association with Christianity, to be honest. It still wouldn't make what happened with Bliss and Briles any more palatable - but at least we would have one less high-profile example of Christians being hypocrites.
