I don’t know when it happens, but we will not play all our games.Yeah, probably decent odds on that.

Take it to the cave Debbie downer.I don’t know when it happens, but we will not play all our games.
Glad they changed the forfeiture rule, although it would have been nice had it been the opponent with not enough players.I don’t know when it happens, but we will not play all our games.
I was told it’s not appropriate to talk outside the cave about the “disease that shall not be named” effecting our basketball games. So I’m going to dumb the people who do it.With such a horrible reaction score to your own posts, I'd be hesitant about advising others on their posts if I were you. Also, if you disagree with a post, I'd encourage you to explain your disagreement instead of reflexively hitting the dumb button.

I'd hate to be an odds maker for this game. With this being the first game after Christmas break, I think there's a good chance that one or both of these teams will be affected by COVID issues.
They only beat VCU, who has a similar ranked defense, by 8 on a neutral court and VCU has twice as bad as offense on KenPom as ISU. Looks like the difference was the FT line and Baylor had 17 offensive boards.
Vaccination provides little protection against INFECTION with Omicron. With a booster it will help minimize or prevent symptoms. The player still would test positive and have to be held out of competition.I don't know why. Can't talk of Baylor...but wasn't there a thread on how the entire ISU team is vaccinated? Is that not true.......or does it not matter?

I believe the protocol is that vaccinated players only have to test if they're showing symptoms. As a result, I don't believe there is still team-wide testing occurring.I was under the impression that the team isn’t tested if they got the jab… so why would they ever test unless they were bedridden.
Didn’t these students have to claim Baylor tickets before thanksgiving? That could limit the number of students there. New Year’s Day also hurts student turnout.Cyclone Alley will be full of students and the upper deck will be general public. In the past that's how it has typically worked for the bigger games.
I was also wondering about the timing. Obviously, since the season has been so unexpectedly successful, perhaps if the option to purchase break games expired early in the season, then the number who opted in might be low.Didn’t these students have to claim Baylor tickets before thanksgiving? Honestly, that game in 2019 and one more time in 2020 is the only years I remember playing KU at home during break. In 2020 we would have lost to KU anywhere we played at anytime. It seems for years, when we played KU in Hilton it was during the break. The year we thumped them it was VERY loud with the official students gone. I would expect nothing less for this game. I'm really fortunate that a friend with mid-court, lower-level can't make the game so I'm able to take my senior in high school. So excited for this life-long memory to be created, and hopefully it's a win to top it off. SO EXCITED!

I think that was due to people believing Iowa State was a fluke. I bet it’s closer to 7.5-8.5. When Baylor went to Oregon it closed at 7.5.
