I wonder what the drink/loss ratio is. I'm convinced we would be national champs....

Games at Hilton give us a false sense of actually being good. This team is much too terrible on defense and rebounding to win on the road or neutral court.

On the positive side, we fans should pat ourselves on the back for keeping this team relevant this season.

One more thing... This is Holberg's fault.

He is Mr. Iowa State. He had to do the most Iowa State thing ever... build it and do nothing with it.

Baylors strength is their depth on the front line..something we don't have......ProhmBall continues to be a DUD

Yes, I agree. He Should have done a much better job of evening out his front court. I mean what has he been doing the past 3 years?

I would have put Ernst in.

Told him to hack the **** out of Motley. Swipe the nuts. Make him work for position and then swipe the nuts again. Then hack his face when he goes up. Get Motley twitching real good. I like that strategy better then letting him baby hook from 5 feet.

I guess we'd have to pull Ernst's redshirt and fly him express to Waco in order to do this? Motley sure had our number this year and we had some horrible help defense one him

Few things I noticed or didn't like tonight.

1. Why do we play Ashton and not Cooke? Cooke at least creates offense, Ashton makes the offense 4 people.
2. Monte, go to the rim man!
3. When **** went south with Burton in the second to last possession, it would have been nice to have someone call a heads up timeout.

I don't know why we can't make a free throw when it counts. This game was lost at the line in the end. And Baylor feeding that low post time and time again for easy buckets just drove me crazy. Helloooooooooooo

The deficiencies and weaknesses on this team are obvious. Lack of depth and zero post play (on both sides of the court). Unfortunately those things can't be fixed at this juncture of the season. This team is what it is (we'll be hearing that quite a bit from here on out).

Yes those are issues. The biggest issue is this team does some stupid things at time, that really has cost them some games. There are times when they give up 5 point swings.

I liked the time out at the end of overtime to make sure we foul to put them on on the line for 100

I have to really laugh at some of the idiotic comments here. The criticism of the players and the coach are truly laughable. We have one of the all time great Cyclones this year who does it all, and after this year, he will be gone. For me, I hate losing, but I still love to watch Niang. And I know I need to enjoy it because he will be gone next year.

We also get to watch one of the best point guards in the Conference, and in all likelihood, he will be gone too. Again, I am going to enjoy watching him - easier in a win, but he still impressed in a loss.

As for this season, and dashed expectations, go back to the start of the year. With all the hopes people had for the Cyclones, if someone had said at the start of the year that there would be no Naz Long and McKay would be nothing like his B12 defensive player of the year self this year, no one would have expected us to do better than we are. So why all the vitriol. Why all the shaming. Simply ridiculous - and childish.

I also really enjoy watching MT; talk about effort and determination. And Burton, while frustrating sometimes, has some really great moments and is getting better as he plays more. He is only 6'4" and plays way above his height. You can whine all you want; I wish we won more, but as a BB fan, I can still enjoy the play. But I would enjoy it more if we won.

We all love watching Georges and Monte as well...as far as the team getting ripped on...it probably wouldn't happen as much if they played like they gave a **** on the defensive end of the court..there is no way you can honestly say you watched the game, and thought we played hard on defense.

I echo everybody else but first off want to give credit to the team for playing hard.

We were criticizing Morris in the Tech game for his last regular season shot. He did the same this game. Get it to the Closer - Georges Niang.

McKay? I don't get it. What happened to him? He is pushed around all game and does almost absolutely zero. I forgot how he played last year.

Love that we pushed the ball in this game, depth be damned. That is where we are at our best.

I wish there was a stat on 2nd chance points allowed per game because it sure would be interesting to see. I guarantee we would rank in the 200s nationally. Infuriating to watch us get one, two, three, and sometimes four stops in a possession before letting the other team burry a three. You'll win very few close games doing that.

I wish there was a stat for "most missed front ends of one and ones"

I think we only had one tonight but it seems like we miss a lot of those. It's just like a turnover.

I told myself I was just going to enjoy this season for what it is but we keep losing games in the same fashion and don't seem to learn from the dumb **** we've done before. As much as I love Monte, he's screwed the pooch twice in the last 3 games. Get a TO and get it to Georges.

Naz had as many points as our entire bench tonight. McKay catches one of those passes or corrals one of those offensive boards that went off his hands and throws it down, we win.
