Baylor on Fox Prime Time

that definitely can be true....idk I just think of the Tennessee/OU game this past weekend.....that atmosphere felt much greater than even an afternoon kick would've. And if you're a player at say, LSU, how do you not get amped up for night games?

I used to love night games. The older I get, I dislike them. So this is probably an age thing...

I don't mind night games. I'm not much into the tailgating scene so it opens up a lot of my Saturday. Since my son is active in stuff and usually has something going on during the days on weekends, a night game also gives him a chance to make it to Ames.

50% didn't know about it.
30% too contrarian to wear it.
20% don't have anything white.

It always reminds me of "Iowa Stubborn" from the Music Man.
I currently reside in the 20%. I easily sweat profusely, which quickly leads to sweat stains on anything white over time.

That, or a 150% chance I'd get a barbecue stain on my white t-shirt.

I plan to buy a white Iowa State t-shirt (hopefully on sale somewhere) and change into it right after getting into the stadium. Then it'll become a yard work shirt or something.

Sorry If I missed it somewhere in this thread already.... but Colorado had a white out planned for last Saturday and it was announced at the beginning of the season and Baylor demanded that they got to wear white.... (the road team has the right to do that). Have to wonder If they will do the same in Ames...

Eastern Kentucky did the same thing to Western Kentucky earlier this season, ruining the Hilltoppers plan for a white out.

They are pretty painful the farther you live from Ames. Throw in overtime and the dog sitter won’t be happy. Dodging deer and drunk drivers in the boonies of southern Iowa

I was in a Reddit thread about that, and just for grins I looked up the rule (1-4-5b):

The visiting team shall wear white jerseys, with these exceptions:

1) The home team can wear white if both teams agree in writing before the season
2) Both teams can wear colored jerseys if the home team agrees in writing before the game and the home team’s conference certifies that the colors are contrasting.

So USC and UCLA are good to go both wearing home unis.

The penalty for not abiding by the rules is a 15-yard team unsportsmanlike penalty after the opening kickoff of each half, plus a time out is taken away at the beginning of each quarter. If you’re out of time outs, it’s a delay of game penalty.

Apparently prior to 2009 there was no wiggle room, the visitors had to wear white, no exceptions without a waiver, but the penalty was only using one time out? So USC and UCLA would knowingly break the rule, and after the visiting team was charged a time out, the home team would waste one as well to make it even.
