Do we really have 8 pages discussing why BDJ didn't play during one of the greatest halves of basketball ISU has ever played? We were rolling folks and Fred wasn't going to mess with that. I'm sure BDJ will be ready to contribute at TCU and in the tourneys.

It appears to be more extreme with BDJ, IMO.

It's because of his apartment life I think. People have been tougher on him than Matt and Nader both getting OWI's though.

It's not. But if it were it probably wouldn't help that he has essentially been kicked off of two college basketball teams and is reported by people who have been around him to be an absolute jerk who doesn't fit in well with the rest of the team.

We are going to need his ability to score, defend, and rebound down the stretch.

People needs to get off his back and stop comparing him to Kane. Everyone had bad games (some more than others). I am sure he will bounce back and have game of his life during NCAA and BIG12 tourney.

He's most effective around the basket. When he posts up or backs his man into the lane, good things happen. He's also good at keeping the ball alive and/or rebounding down low. It's not always as pretty as some of his fadeaways, but it works.

He gets in trouble when he thinks he's Russell Westbrook, taking the ball from halfcourt, using that weak crossover and going into the lane out of control. He needs to catch the ball inside the 3 point line.

Apparently you weren't watching during the 3 minutes he had on Monday

You need to re-watch those first three minutes. That ugly start wasn't Edozie's fault. He has given us some quality minutes in prior games, when given the opportunity. I'm not saying he should be playing more...just saying he is up to the task when his name gets called.

Early in the season, we used BDJ to post up opponents guards. Not sure why we have gone away from that or if it is as simple as the opponents guards are more comparable in size to him. Seemed to be a real strength and the type of mismatch Fred loves.

Hes not particularly hard to prepare for and not a real tough matchup for most teams. He's been scouted and hasn't quite worked through that yet.

Agree generally, except for the last part. He has the green light to get out in transition and I hope he keeps doing that and attacking the basket.

Also, I'd say that his mid-range jump is very good, too. He gets on streaks where his mid-range game is automatic. Hope he stays confident and keeps his head up. It's easy to get down when you aren't playing. I've been there personally before at the small college level and it takes a strong will and selfless player to keep playing hard when you're not getting PT and things aren't going your way.

I think ISU can only reach it's ceiling if BDJ is playing well. He has qualities no other player on the team has and we're going to need him to make a deep run!

Time for him to warm up and get ready. We will need him going into the post season.
Let's go BDJ

Watch Custer's body language on the bench during this run and compare it to BDJ and tell me if you see a difference at all?

I think we can all agree that if BDJ is dialed in and focused he is a tremendous asset to this team, and has the potential to play a very big role in this teams future success.

Trying to speculate and guess what is going on is kinda pointless. I think we can all think of situations where the answers to these questions are no where near what we may have thought. The good thing is that it doesn't matter if we know or not. All that matters is that we trust CFH to put our team in the best position to win games, whatever that might be.

In life all we can control is our responses to situations. If BDJ is having some internal issues then I hope that he responds in a way that benefits the greater good of his teammates and coaches. If he doesn't then he will have to understand the consequences of those choices. As fans we can choose to just support this team as a whole, BDJ included. We just are not privy to the information needed to judge the situation.

You play with the cards you are dealt. I'm hopeful it's a full deck. I hope the best for this team and know CFH will handle everything the right way.

Not true. We played both a run-killer and one of the most inefficient players in the country.

This is so stupid. Give me a break. If you are going to talk crap about BDJ then you would have to so the same with Nader. Sometimes BDJ was up before Nader...!!!??? What is going on with Nader's body language??? He needs to adjust his attitude!

Ok, I did... Bdj looks locked in and ready to go. I didn't see many camera shots of Custer. Stensland was going nuts on the bench so was Edozie.
